For research purposes, I took a sabbatical to the new Imperial Theatre in
Anaheim. This club has only been open since Monday (May 19), so keep that
in mind with my critisms.
Warned about the dress code (Shirts with collars... pants...) I decked myself
out and made the journey.
The club looks pretty good. It's on two stories. The first floor is the entrance
and restrooms, and an empty space that may become a bar in the future. There
were some weird little rooms that looked like the phone booths in Disneyland's
Tommorrowland, but I'm not sure what they'll be used for.
I walked upstairs to be greeted by a stunning blonde waitress who told me
I was welcome to sit wherever I liked. I had quite a few options.
The main stage room was bathed in velour and red & black lights. The
stage is maybe half again as large as the stage at
TJ's or the
Sahara - probably as big
as Crazy Horse II in
Vegas or Fritz Too, in Anaheim.
Two poles, so maybe they plan to have two dancers on busy nights.
The stage was surrounded by low fixed barstools, that didn't look uncomfortable.
Couches surround the stage along the walls. I hated the couches. They're
the high off the ground type, like
Tropical Lei's, that
I can never get comfortable on. I'm a pretty tall guy, and I hate having
my feet dangling in the air like I'm 5'2".
It was about 8:00pm, and about six girls were working. That was ok, because
there were only four guys in the club. A good looking group. There were two
or three "8's" and only one real turn-off for me - a large Hispanic girl
(but a good dancer on stage). The important thing to me of course, was the
quality of tush. Three of the girls could have modeled for that new sculpture
in Vegas. I noticed a slim pretty blonde from Sahara, but nobody else looked
familiar.
The girls weren't working the room much - too bored, I suspect. One finally
came up to me and sat down to chat. We had a nice little conversation going
until I saw a waitress approach. Fear clutched at my heart... the waitress
glanced at the dancer, gave a sly smile and beaded in on me.
Ugnhhhnnhhh.... it was one of THOSE clubs...
My Dancers head whipped around amazingly fast... "Buy me a drink?"
I hate this. I'd much rather overtip for dances than line the club's pockets,
but I surrendered in defeat.
"Sure," I muttered. I am less than a man.
We chatted more, and of course, she asked me If I wanted a couch dance. I
agreed and she took me into the "VIP room" - a smaller version of the main
area with the same damn tall couches.
Air Dance! It was so weak, even my dancer apologized to me. This club's
management is very strict so far, frowning on letting their customers enjoy
themselves and letting their dancers make money. I told her I enjoyed it
and overtipped (She had great legs... sue me).
To be a competed reviewer, I should have stayed and gotten a few more dances
from different girls to give you a good report. Unfortunately, I'm a
self-indulgent prick. I gathered up my things, and burnt rubber to get to
a real lap-dance emporium.
Within 20 minutes, I was in the company of the bubbly, curvy, beautiful Brandy
at my 2nd office - TJ's in Stanton. I exhaled with relief.

The manager at this club has been wanting me to check this club out but I
just haven't had the time to go down there. If you see Pete, tell him "Hi".

I went to club 215 during the dog shift [around 5pm-ish]. Small parking lot,
yet despite it being a busy hour for clubs, there were still spaces open
in this small lot. Not a good omen. I then began assending this long, gradual
stair wrapping it's way around the building, giving me deja Vu of the Visitor
Center at Mesa Verde.
An entrance. I get out my Id, and enter. No one checks my ID. No one charges
me a cover. Hell, there was no one at the door! Not a good omen. I walk in.
The bar is off to the right, where as many patrons are crowding as will fit.
Only a few are sitting anywhere near the stage, which is directly ahead.
The stage layout imediately screamed 'RRRHHIIINNNOO' at me: central stage
with a runway separating a single long curving 'table with not base alowing
the customer to stick his legs through into the runway; looked just like
the layout at Rhino Fullerton. JUST like it, cept better lights. No one actually
dancing on this stage though.
The place is rather small; doubt there were seats for fourty people in the
whole place. I trotted off down the interior stairs to see where that led:
found couple of video games, two broken pooltables, and lots of tables and
chairs stacked up. Ah-a warehouse. Once customer playing pinball down there
as well. I ignore him and head back up. Now someone comes out on the stage,
oldish, kinda plain, but at least not overweight. A five. She comes around
the tip rail, doing apsolutely no contact with the customers as she collects
tips along the rail. Next song she goes to the stage and does her routine.
After her set, the Dj then starts playing songs and asking the customers
to guess the name an band of each song. No prizes; I guess the prize is they
let you leave if you can guess.
Later another girl came up to dance. She was kinda cute...a solid seven at
least. She didn't appear to have been dancing long, and actually started
to fall a couple times, but she was trying hard and experimenting around;
I got the feeling she had not seen many experienced dancers do routines,
and so was unsure what a stage show should look like. Get her to a real club
and there might be hope. She tended to avoid the customers though, and when
her set was done, instead of thanking each person at the rail, gave a quick
'thanks' to everyone and darted out of site. These were, in fact, the only
two dancers working that evening. Very small staff for evening, even a Thursday
evening. I believe this place is fairly new, so maybe it will improve with
time, but for now it was kinda dull there.

I've visited several times over the last couple of months. It is still a
bikini bar, they keep saying that they will convert over to topless "In a
couple of weeks". They have been saying that for the last three or four months.
The lap dances are a very overpriced $20.00 a piece. Most of the girls do
look good, I rate most of them between 7 and 8, with a few 9's and 10's thrown
in for good measure. If your lucky and in the area during the day, you might
run into "Ariel". She is a fantastic looking blonde or red head. Last time
I was there she was blonde. Her dances were soooo good! Your mileage will
vary greatly on the laps. Most of the girls are way too tame. But what can
you really expect from a place in Pasadena.
The club itself is a good size. It's smaller than Bob's or DV NH. But a good
deal larger that TL. There is no cover charge before 6:00 p.m. after that
it is $5.00. Entering, the bar is to your right, and the couches for lapping
are to your left. The main stage is across from the entrance slightly to
your left. They have two secondary stages to either side. Although I've only
seen them use the one on the right, nearest to the bar. There are a number
of booths along the wall to the left, and there are tables spreadout from
left to right. Along the right wall is a long bench, where I notice guys
sometime sit with their favorite dancer. At a slight angle to the right of
the entrance across the room they have three pool tables. I have noticed
the dancers playing with the customers on occasion. Men's room is in the
corner to the far right hand side away from the entrance.
And as for RJ, smoking is not allowed in the main club area. They do have
a smoking room all the way over to the left hand side of the club, opposite
the wall where they do lap dances. There are a number of booths in there.
And it is completely isolated from the rest of the club. It is NOT AIR
CONDITIONED! If you visit during a hot day and want to smoke, be prepared
to sweat. They also have a couple of pinball machines in there. Why, I have
no idea. If you find the "Right" dancer, the best place for a lap dance is
in the left hand side of the the lapping dancing bench in the corner.
With so many other clubs in the area it's very hard to recommend this place
as it is right now. However if bikini dances are OK with you, I've found
the dancers to be mostly likeable nice girls. Many of them only started dancing
there, and have not danced at other clubs. Others have worked the circuit.
Many of them are happy to sit with you and talk a while. I've only visited
mostly during the day and early evening, business is usually slow. With few
tippers. The girls will definitely appreciate the attention of any guy who
tips. Be attentive, show a little appreciation, and you will reap you reward.
As ever look before you leap, but be prepared to wait a long time. Not many
guys get lap dances here, so waiting until you see a girl give a good one
will take a lot of time. Getting a dance without first seeing how the girl
does it, is not recommended. Unless you like getting a lot of lap dances
where there is NO contact. This clubs primary advantage is location. It is
in Pasadena right off the freeway. Good luck to you who venture out there
and happy lapping!
