Subject: The
Great Pepsi One Weight Loss Challenge |
It started
innocently enough. Deuce declared in chat that he intended to
lose weight, and, unlike every other statement he makes, he
was serious. When I said I would join him, StripperATM
suggested we make it a bet. Well, now it's more than a bet,
it's The Great Pepsi One Weight Loss Challenge (not
actually sponsored by Pepsi One, but, hey, if you know anyone
who works for PepsiCo, send 'em on over ).
The rules: Whoever loses the most weight from
Wednesday, May 3, 2000 to Saturday, July 29, 2000 is the
winner. Deuce has the edge in this category, since he weighs
more. The official weigh-in will be at Valley Ball this
Wednesday, May 3, 2000. I'm thinking about buying a new scale
for this, but if not, we will have to take the mean of 3
weigh-ins from my existing scale. If there is anyone out there
who can procure a more accurate scale for us that will support
weights over 320 pounds, please contact me. The final weigh-in
will be in Las Vegas on July 29, 2000.
The Stakes: The entry fee for each contestant is the
promise to buy 5 lap dances in Las Vegas at Olympic Garden,
Crazy Horse Too or Tally Ho for the winner. This is a
winner-take-all affair. To date, we have 5 contestants, so the
current pot is 20 lap dances.
Are We Crazy: Of course we are. Haven't you figured
this one out by now?
The Contestants (so far): Deuce, TresEquis,
StripperATM, Rab, StraDawg... If you're interested in joining
this list, you need to let me know and show up for the
weigh-in Wednesday. You must also be present in Las Vegas July
29 to claim your prize if you win.
I hope I didn't forget anything.
The Great Pepsi One Weight Loss Challenge is on!

Subject:
Official Weigh-in |
Sorry about the
subject. I just felt that the appeared too much in the
subject window here lately, so I used some other Zmoticons
instead.
Well, the official weigh-in for The Great Pepsi One
Weight Loss Challenge was last night at the Valley Ball, and
I, for one, am thankful we were able to hold the weigh-in in
the parking lot there.
StripperATM was absent (where are you, ATM?), but our two new
additions to the contest, Coach and Loves The Ladies were both
there. Here are the official results (in ascending weight
order):
Rab: 232 lbs. (What are you doing in this contest, boy? Don't
you know you're up against super-heavyweights? Still, we're
happy to take your lap )
Stra: 282 lbs. (Of twisted steel and sex appeal. I know you're
thinking to yourself, how could Stra possibly shed any
poundage from his near-perfect body. Yes, it will be tough,
true believers, but I shall endeavor to excel.)
Tres: 282 lbs. (And he thought he'd be more. You may notice
that we are the same weight, but I mentioned myself first, so
I'd seem like more of an underdog when I finally win. Tres
started this thing asking, like victorp, if he could gain
more weight than we lost. I think he was just saying
this to psych us out.)
Coach: 286 lbs. (Not sure how far off this is from Coach's
playing weight, but that's where Coach is headed. I don't
think it's far off enough to make him feel he has a chance.
Coach, BTW, misunderstood the prize was 5 OG/CH2/TH laps from each
contestant, so he has extra incentive to win. Just kidding,
Coach. Actually, I'll cover the additional portion of your bet
should you lose... that's extra incentive for me to win
)
Deuce: 288 lbs. (Gasp! Deuce is not at the top of the list?
Not by a longshot. He was very disappointed. He claimed to
weigh 320, and he says my scale is broken. Actually he only
claimed to be 308 in chat. Either way you slice it, Deuce was
trying to cheat. No big surprise there, but I'll have to
admit, it was a bit of a disappointment for me to discover
that Deuce only weighed 6 pounds more than me. I wonder if
they have the Rhode Island-size Porterhouse steak at Norm's?)
Loves The Ladies: [drum roll] 392 lbs. (Wow! Jake's wife
Jackie asked him if being heavier was an advantage, since the
contest will be determined by pure poundage rather than per
cent of original weight. Doctor Jake confirms this is so. Now
I had this same thought just meeting this guy for the first
time last night -- a very cool dude, by the way -- but you
should see LTL's eyes light up when you say the word
"buffet." Nope. Even with competition such as this,
we are in for the brawl of the millenium.)
That's the rundown. Also in attendance, though not in
competition were victorp (174 lbs), xman (176? I didn't really
see), dane (150 lbs), Jake and Jackie.
ATM: If you still want in, I can arrange to weigh you in at
another time. I don't think it's a problem, since you are now
officially at a time disadvantage. Let me know, dude!
(Why have I started calling everyone "dude" today? I
hope this stops.)
n ,
dudes.
