Z:
Where are you originally from?
R:
I'm originally from Michigan. I grew up moving back and forth. I still enjoy
going back east to visit, but I have to say my roots are here.
Z:
Tell me how you got started dancing?
R:
I grew up with aunts who were dancers. They enjoyed it and made a good living
at it. I love to entertain, so why not?
Z:
Do you still enjoy dancing?
R:
Yes.
Z:
How did you meet
Pearl?
R:
We were hanging out in the back dressing room at
TJ's and started talking
and really just connected. The chemistry was definitely there.
Z:
Who's taller?
R:
I'm 4' 11" on a good day! Not many adults are smaller than me.
Z:
Do you spend a lot of time together?
R:
Between dancing and our business, we spend almost as much time together as
siamese twins. It's a good thing we get along as well as we do.
Z:
Do you have any time for hobbies?
R:
Not really. Lately I've been working between 70-80 hours [a week]. Once our
business reaches a point where it doesn't require so much of our attention,
I'm sure I'll take the time to play hard!
Z:
What type of music do you like to dance to at work?
R:
Rock-n-Roll, punk and a little alternative.
Z:
What type of music do you like to listen to at home?
R:
A little bit of everything. There's so many wonderful artists out there that
I don't want to restrict myself to a particular style.
Z:
What's your all time favorite movie?
R:
I could count on one hand how many times I've been to the movies in the last
5 years. Picking a fave movie is extremely difficult. However, Sam Elliot
is a fine actor.
Z:
Tell me more about the video you made.
R:
Our video is exactly what it's titled: "Pearl's Fantasy." Passionate,
erotic and orgasmic for starters. We really enjoyed filming this experience
and sharing it with everyone.
Z:
How has the reaction been to your video?
R:
Excellent! We've received a lot of positive feedback from both men and women.
It's definitely a movie a couple can enjoy together.
Z:
Are you interested in doing professional girl/girl videos?
R:
Possibly in time. At the moment, I'm devoted to our business and too busy
to start venturing out.
Z:
Where are you from?
P:
My mother! [laughs] I was conceived in Vietnam and born in Pennsylvania.
We came to LA in '74 because, honestly, I think mom wanted to see
Dizyland! So we stayed.
Z:
How did you get started dancing?
P:
I met a girl in Dental class who asked me to come down and watch her perform
at Angel's in Long Beach.
Next thing I know, I'm auditioning the next day, got hired and turned this
into somethin' special!
Z:
Do you still enjoy dancing?
P:
Oh, very much so. It's a passion of mine to be an entertainer, and to feel
like I'm doing something helpful in a way is a good feeling. Of course money
can be good, but aside of that, I started in this industry with a different
attitude. And it's stayed with me. Ask any one of my customers. So, even
when I'm too old later to continue, I'll still love it.
Z:
How did you meet
Rayne?
P:
We met at TJ's by sharing
the same dressing room. Something about Rayne was just calling to me. So
I answered!
Z:
Who's taller?
P:
I'm 5'3", and Rayne's 4'11". But that just means less time and effort for
her to go down on me! [Laughs]
Z:
Do you spend a lot of time together?
P:
To be quite honest, with this whole new venture of ideas, "biz" has kept
us from having a social life, but when we do get a moment, hell yeah! We're
joined at the hip... among other places. You'll see in the video!
Z:
I know you are very busy gals but do you have any time for hobbies?
P:
I love to read and write. I appreciate the arts like musicals, art museums,
etc. Especially when I get to get all dolled up to go the events. Also, I
have to throw my jeans on and go play pool. Otherwise, let some guy teach
me how to play, I mean!
Z:
What type of music do you like to dance to at work?
P:
I love the 80's mixes, along with dizco, metal, classic rock bands, soundtracks
from musicals, especially drama! Basically anything but elevator music, like
Lawrence Welk! Dad used to make me listen to it and like it! [Laughs]
Z:
What's your all time favorite movie?
P:
My fave would have to be Fast Times at Ridgemont High! Need I explain?
I'm dying for another carefree film like that to be released again. That
movie was a statement: "A few things matter to us at this point in our life
and we'll get what all you adults are saying later when our mindset changes.
In the meantime, get over it."
Z:
Tell me more about your video and calendar that you made.
P:
This was my first time I was ever with another woman! This was always my
fantasy, so it was pretty intense when the moment arrived. We basically didn't
want to act or have the silly dialog that throws people off. We just wanted
to play! When we decided to get it on film, we then decided, "Hey! If we're
going to do this, why not sell it?" It wasn't our intent to start doing business
as R&P until one idea after another kept popping up. So now we're just
perfecting our ideas and seeing where it can take us.
In the meantime though, we still have our bread and butter jobs, which makes
this whole new venture fun. Starring, producing, directing, editing, and
now the marketing has been real big learning experience. With the calendars,
which came first back in November, that was basically our marketing for the
Web site yet to come.
Everyone can use a calendar, so we printed our address on the bottom of each
one. I think it's kinda working.
Z:
How did your decide to create a website for yourselves?
P:
An idea came from a friend of ours, and that's when we started doing professional
photoshoots. So we at least had our sh*t together if and when we did decide
to go forward with it. We basically wanted it to promote our different personas
played in all of our great costumes, that's all. And now look!
Z:
How has the reaction been to your products?
P:
We've had alot of great responses from males and females. Everyone will never
see R&P doing trash, only CLASS. Obviously, I'm proud of what
I've done or I wouldn't have told my father!
Z:
Are you interested in doing professional girl/girl videos?
P:
Maybe. I don't just do anyone, first of all, guys or girls! There's gotta
be a connection there, right? At least for me there does.
Z:
Thanks for your time. I really enjoyed this little chat.
P:
No problem. Enjoy the video.
