Don't look for the old Huntington Beach Flamingo building in hopes of it being revived for another club....the city & land owner had the building demolished completely! I verified this myself first hand (being a native HB resident). Oh well, on to bigger and (hopefully) better run clubs!

The club was declared an endangered species from the get go by the city and it has finally become extinct. The club played its last hand and lost. Doors will be closed and yet though I was not a fan, I send my condolences to the girls that must seek new hardwood floors to strut their stuff. Girls, If you think you can still get away with air dances, well that is a Taboo subject......why not try that club or the beer joints, because the girls at the other clubs will eat you up, figuratively and in some case literally bi-speaking. Date: 2/14/2002 8:59pm From:   MAN_LIKES_WHORES Subject: This place is a joke!!! Checked this place out on a Friday. The girls were too young for my liking. Waitress pushes hard to sell the drinks. Constantly pushing the "Buy the lady a drink?" HER breath was terrible. I offered her a mint. The stage was so far away and tiny too. My neck is still sore from straining to see the pink stuff on stage. MY advice is to SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to a club that deserves it. Where you can see pink kitty up close and personal. I prefer Bare Elegance, CENTURY, and jet strip for close up action and lots of stickshifting near LAX. HB is just too clean not any hanky panky going on here with "the barely legals" Club Dancers Attitude

Some nice, cute dancers with good attitudes. Cheap dances, cheap drinks. Still, I can't recommend this club unless you live in walking distance and really, really don't feel like driving to TJ's. If HB was so worried about their image, they would do better dealing with the pollution and political corruption. Save your money, get some drinks at Ibiza and hangover helper from Sugar Shack the next morning. Nuff said. Club Dancers Attitude Nasty Factor

Stage is soooo far away. My neck was so sore the next day. The 10 dollar dance was an air dance for th emost part. HB is strict! Looks like I will go to my old standby TJ's in Stanton. OK, granted there was no cover late on a Friday night, and there's a 1 drink min ($10) w/ $1 refills, but it's not worth any more than that. There were maybe 10 girls ranging from 3 (those teeth!) to 8 and over half had implants. The stage is not only at least 6 feet away, but it's like there's a damn MOTE in between the seats & stage. Uninterested dancers get naked on 2nd song then walk through the mote for tips. To make the visit not a total bust, I got a lap dance, only $10. You get what you pay for. Cute, friendly dancer, but I get more grind on a non-crowded bus. If you're in HB, just drive somewhere else and if you're visiting like I was, keep driving. Club Dancers Attitude Nasty Factor

Date: 12/7/2000 3:39am From:   Summer88 Subject: Give it a chance Since before the club even opened the city of HB has been trying to close it down. The lack of mileage in the lap dance department is just another result of the heat put on the club by the police. The police have even gone so far as to submit fictitious reports and serve the dancers with warning letters in which undercover officers attest to having unlawful contact with the girls. The letters are so obviously fictitious(including one that named a dancer who was out of the country at the stated date) that the management decided to temporarily close the location while they devote their full attention to the legal matter at hand. Huntington Beach is doing it's best to remove this blemish from its "pristine" city, but hopefully they will not succeed. Other than the problems with the cops, the location is great, being that it is the only nude club in HB. The girls are some of the best that Flamingo has ever seen(you could fall in love with them). You may not get a full ass grind, but the dances can certainly be great fuel for a fantasy(take a mental pic home with you). Check the place out when it reopens and offer your support. Date: 9/5/2000 10:20am From:   mallthus Subject: Flamingo (HB) - Low Profile First off, I've never been a big fan of the Flamingo in Anaheim. It feels too much like a warehouse or hotel ballroom and the bouncers/floaters/etc. seem too hate their jobs too much. That said, I decided that I'd give the new HB location a try, if for no other reason than to say I'd been to a strip club in facist Huntington Beach. As has been indicated elsewhere, the entrance is in the back. Not unusual for a strip club. The interior of the club has the same semi-temporary feel as the Anaheim club, ballroom chairs, high ceilings, etc. The staff seems to have been transplanted from the Anaheim Flamingo en masse...no smiles, no greeting. The doorman was so incompetent that he watched me exit my car in the lot, walk to the door, pay the cover ($10), answer whether I lived in HB and walk through turnstile and then ran into the nearly empty club when I got my first private dance to insist that I "need to pay cover first". Though I got him to back off, it was off-putting. Stage dances were typical and rather bland. There seems to be a distance rule in effect on the nude dances. Dancers did two song sets...first song covered and at the rail, second song nude on stage. Private dances were Flamingo standard: mega-low contact but priced at $10. None of the dancers were outstanding, but there were no real dogs either. All of the dancers were pleasant which was a welcome change from most clubs. Bottom line: Nice club if you're in HB already, but not worth a trip. Low rating for the club speaks more of the overall design and doorman/bouncer than to cleanliness, etc. Club Dancers Attitude Nasty Factor
