Update 4/2002:
This club is now closed.
The location used to be a French restaurant and the owner fought the
city to open a nude club. This club is located on Beach in a great
location in Huntington Beach. The building is a stand alone facility and
there are a few parking spaces in front as well as ample parking in the
rear lot. The entrance is in the rear of the building so it's better to
park back there.
Pay the $10 cover, go through the turnstile and you enter the main
room with a stage in the center, surrounded by bench style seating all
around the club (like the Anaheim Flamingo). The bar is
against the far wall, but there is no seating there. The DJ booth is to
the left of the bar, with the dressing room behind it, and the restrooms
are to the right of the bar. There are vending machines and the ATM
located past the restrooms in a small room along with an emergency exit
door.
When I visited, the drinks were $10 for bottomless drinks (with a
mandatory $1 tip for the waitress for refills). However, others report
that during the day, the cover was $5 and $10 for the first drink and $3
thereafter. Since it's still new, perhaps they are still working out the
pricing structure.
The stage seating are plastic seats that are bolted to the floor like
at a sporting event. The stage seating is "U" shaped and there
are no seats in the back of the stage near the bar section. This in
itself is not too strange except that the railing is about 2 feet way
from the seats, making it impossible to lean against. Since the seats
are connected, the only way another customer can get to a seat is to
walk in front of you, between the seating and the railing. This could
cause problems if the customer has his money or personal belongings on
the rail table. The actual stage is very high (perhaps 3 feet above the
floor) and is approximately 6 feet from the railing. I assume this is
the new strict laws of Huntington Beach. I'm not sure what the purpose
of making the dancer so high up is other than causing a pain in my neck.
The lighting are mounted on the walls all around the club and the
front white lights are blindingly bright. Normally, this would be a
problem but the dancers are so young and in such good shape, it didn't
seem to matter all that much. The stage is rectangular and surrounded by
brass railings. There are no other vertical polls other than the
railings. The general lighting of the entire club is fairly bright,
similar to the Anaheim club.
The dancers come up to the rail on their first song, some wearing
see-through tops and shorts, and entice the customer for tips. On their
second song, they walk up the steps on the left to the center stage and
take off their bottoms. On the night that I went, it was so slow that
the DJ often played the entire song for the dancer. This may not be the
case when the club is busier.
On a weeknight, there were only about 6 dancers near the end of the
shift. However, all dancers were young and attractive, with good
attitudes on stage and off stage. Considering how slow it was, I was
amazed at the quality of the dancers and their attitudes.
There are no lap rooms, or VIP areas. The lap dances are performed on
the seating against the wall to the left side of the club. It's not very
private but it doesn't matter all that much because there is very little
(if any) contact for the $10 lap dances. I assume the city is watching
very closely and will not allow any mileage.
All in all, this is not the place to come for nasty action, but if
you're in the hood, and want to see some cute young naked dancers, it
might be worth a quick look.
