In the late 70's and early 80's, New York, NY was nastier than nasty. Live boy / girl sex shows on stage was the norm. Strip clubs merged with brothels and vice versa. In fact, things were so crazy, you didn't even have to go to a strip club to see nudity.

But all good things always seem to come to an end. The live sex shows ended in the 80s and alas, as of 1999, the city has even cleaned up Times Square for poor defenseless Disney. Now it's even hard to find a good porno book store, let alone a nasty strip club.

If you go outside Manhattan, there are plenty of nasty peep shows and semi-brothels there but most of the seriously nasty stuff is gone. New York has the interesting combination of glitz clubs as well as the nastiest of nasty clubs. Many clubs I've visited are not listed here for various reasons.

Since my last visit, postings on ASSC indicate they have had major changes including regular features. Therefore, keep that in mind as you read my review.

This club is very close to Dave Letterman. There is usually a barker standing outside trying to get you to go inside. You walk down into the basement and there you find a large bar and one stage with tables and chairs all around. Multiple dancers on stage and not much else going on. You can "buy the lady a drink" or go with her to another room but I didn't try it.

Nude Harmony Club

161 W. 22nd Street, NY, NY
Last visit: 1993

The very first time I heard about it was in a English publication which included the best strip clubs in the world. I had no phone number and had some trouble finding it. There was a sex oriented newspaper that had it's address listed so I took a chance and took a cab there without calling first. When I got out of the cab, I thought it was the wrong address because I saw no signs for a club at all. There was a door at the address so I opened it and took an elevator upstairs(?). When the door opened, there was a place to pay and enter the club.

It was so dark inside (even though it was during the day), I had to stand still and let my eyes adjust. Then all I saw was people getting laps on couches and standing wall dances. There were couples making out and some lying on the sofa grinding and grunting. I thought I was at an orgy! I kept walking around hoping to find someplace to sit. I think there was a stage but nobody was dancing. I found a spot on an old sofa and sat down and watched the others doing their stuff. I saw a girl I liked and before I could say anything, she came over and sat on my lap.

I pumped her for information and she told me you can pretty much negotiate anything. We watched Propeller-Man grabbing a girl from behind and twirling her top like mad. How is that sexy? Different strokes, I guess. I sat with my "dancer" cuddling and kissing for a long time before I had to leave. It was so crazy there, I didn't have the desire to get crazy myself. It was just fun watching the others.

Club

0.5 I'm not sure you can call it a club.

Attitude

4.0 Talk forever as long as you pay.

Nasty Factor

4.0 A little too crazy for me.

Nude Harmony Theatre

The lady at the Harmony Club gave me the business card for Harmony Theatre so I had to check it out. Unlike the Harmony Club, this one actually has a sign and looks like a real club. There is a real stage inside with dancers dancing on it. Theatre style chairs to sit at but not very comfortable for laps. When customers tip the dancers on stage, they touch the dancer quite a bit like in Hawaii.

The laps are pretty nasty but the selection of dancers have a lot to be desired. One of my lap dancers allowed me to get comfortable while I got my laps.

Topless Show World

This place is a huge complex with multiple floors. Depending on what side you enter from, it's hard to figure out how many floors it really is. It's at least 3 floors high. Back in the early 80's, they had live sex shows and I remember going there into the "Kinky Room" to see a feature and she did 3 or 4 guys sitting in the front.

Today, the features do a little audience participation but nothing compared to the good old days. There are other areas with one on one peep shows as well as many to one peep booths. There is also a strip club within a strip club where some features dance. All in all, it's still an adult Disneyland but the quality has gone way down. MB in SF is a better example of this type of place.

Club

2.5 Big but dirty.

Dancers

1.5 Only found a few that I liked.

Attitude

1.0 Talk only in the booths.

Nasty Factor

2.5 Nasty, but more dirty than nasty.
