This club used to be a topless club which then became 2 separate
topless and nude clubs in one. Then, they got busted and lost their liquor
license (like Century)
and became nude only. The same owner has completely remodeled inside and
out giving a new slick and glossy look. The ugly bar, stage, walls and
dancers are gone. Everything is spanking new including most of the
dancers. Since the closing of it's sister club (Mermaids), many good
lookers have migrated here from there.
The cover is $5 during the day, $8 evenings, and Saturdays and $10 on
Friday and Saturday nights. 2 drinks upon entering at $5.00 each brings
the entry fee to a maximum of $20. No juice, ice tea or anything
interesting. Soda and water only here. The waitress had a bit of 'tude but
got over it after getting her tip. I've been told that they accept credit
cards (including American Express) for payment of lap dances.
One long stage with 2 areas of dancing with 2 dancers going
simultaneously. The floor of the stage is very high, giving a great view
of the plentiful floor work
here.
Now for the juicy spread you've been waiting for. The second dressing
room has now been converted to a second
bed dance area and the
table dance area is now
gone. As a matter of fact, there are no laps available, only nude bed
dances are available. The back area where the bad dances used to be is
still there also. The bed dances are still $50 (dancer keeps $30). At this
point, you are saying, "How much?"
Tropical Lei has
$40 nude couch dances by
features but not by house dancers. Yes, this is true. However, without
going into details, bed dances have many advantages over lap dances.
Moreover, you are in a private area and this is the only club in LA that I
am aware of where all dancers consistently allow touching by the
customers. But for $50, you'd expect at least that.
Expert customer hint:
Use the bed dance area near the front entrance and try to get the cubicle
at the front of the building (against the wall). Then watch the mirror
closely to see when the DJ/floater comes to count the dance at the start.
After he leaves, you are clear to the end of the song.
