This premiere club still looks good after all these years.  The parking lot has been expanded and optional valet parking is still available.

As of 2005, the Bare is owned by the same new owner of the Valley Ball and is technically, no longer a sister club of the Jet Strip.

The main entrance is on the East side of this 2 story building.  As you enter, the box office and DJ booth are on your left.  Don't forget to bring your Z-VIP card with you, since it's accepted all day and night for free entrance.  From there, the bar is to the left, and the VIP room is on the right.  More on this room later.

The lower level lap dance booths are on the far side of the room, and the bathroom (with attendant) is on the left of that area.  The main stage is on the right side, along with the conveniently located dressing room behind the stage.

Interior
Main stage on left, second stage on right, bar far right. View from upstairs lap area.
Other extras are 2 satellite micro stages, and a medium second stage.

There is a large screen TV to the left of the main stage and 2 lazy-boy type chairs that will give you a massage for some pocket change.  I didn't try the massage but the chair is very comfortable.

If you're a smoker, or even if you just want to chill with your favorite dancer outside, you'll enjoy the patio located outside the West side of the building.  There's plenty of room to spread out so you can have a nice private conversation or drink without having to compete with the music.  The patio is right next to a large lawn that is used for the VIP parties and can be used for private parties by special arrangement.

Monday night is the dance contest night and Sunday is their theme night where dancers all wear something to do with the theme of the night.

The kitchen serves food to 10pm, and is actually pretty good. The menu includes appetizers, salads, lots of sandwiches, burgers, and entrees like lemon chicken, ribeye steak and shrimp pasta.  If you're on a diet, you can even get a healthy salad.  If you're not on a diet, get the delicious desert here.

As for drinks, you can get a Cappuccino, Expresso, or Latte, as well as the usual juices, sodas and Snapple drinks.  I like to sit at the bar and eat while I watch the show on the small stage nearby.

The VIP area is an enclosed separate room with smoked glass.  You can see out to the club from inside, but it's very hard for people to see into the VIP room.  This room contains more private dance booths where you can get topless dances for $100 per 3 songs (at night, $70 day).

So, if you already know the dancer, and expect to get more than 3 dances, go straight to the VIP room without wasting any time or money in the main area.  If you really want to be a shot-caller, you can pay extra and simply stay and sit at the table in this very exclusive room with your favorite dancer.

VIP
One of the Skybox rooms upstairs

The regular lap dance prices can vary depending on the time and day but topless laps are about $40 and bikini laps are about $30.

Pictured is one of the Skybox rooms upstairs which can be reserved for 30 minutes for $500.  As you can see it's very plush, private and comfortable.

If you're having a bachelor party, you can reserve the Sky Lounge upstairs and have your own micro-stage.  This is a great way to be separate from the rest of the club and still be in the action.  You can still look down to the main stage to see if you want the dancer to come upstairs.

The quality of girls are still good and on busy nights, you'll see many real hotties there. And don't think the good looking ones don't give good dances.  As always, YMMV and use good judgment on your selections.

After all these years, the original upscale LA club still has it's glitter on.  Come here to see some eye candy, get some great dances and enjoy desert.

This club was closed in 2009.

CenturyCover charge is $2 during the day and $8.50 at night. They did some renovations a while ago and added pool tables. This club used to have a separate area with a liquor license, but alas no more. Huge parking lot in front and rear. Lots of dancers but not known for touching. A lot of floor work on stage. If you like close-up nude private dances where the dancer raises herself up so that her glory is literally 1/2 of an inch from your nose without touching, this is the place to go.

As of August 1998, they have added lap dancing and as of September 1999 are priced from $17 to $22. I have not tried it but since they had lap dancing several years ago and had to remove it upon a bust, I suspect that the mileage is not too high there.

This is not a strip club and is more like a "modeling studio" but since there are nude women here, I've included them in the list.  This sister club of Lingerie Dreams is located right off the 405 freeway near Century Boulevard which you may have seen when you have gone to LAX.  Although the parking entrance is on the other side, the building is on La Cienega across the street from the off-ramp of the freeway.

The building is a non-descript brick building that looks pretty undercover during the day but the signs are more well lit at night.  Simply park in the lot on the side of the building and walk-in through the side door the the name of the club above it.

Inside, you'll find a large open space with some couches for anybody that may be waiting for a friend or a model that may be busy.  There are usually 2 girls during the day and 3 at night.  One of the (or all) will greet you at the door and explain the different shows that are available.  The girls are average to good looking.  Couples can get a show together but men can only get shows one at a time.  So if you come with a bunch of friends, you're going to have to take turns or go with different girls.

The shows are nude modeling (or dominatrix show) in a private room and 2 or 3 girl shows are also available.  The cost is $60 for 20 minutes, not including tips for the model.  Tipping is not required but obviously appreciated by the model.  As they say in the strip club biz, put out more greenery for more scenery.  Credit cards are accepted and an ATM is also available if you need to get more cash.  They have 3 different theme rooms available, but the second one on the side of the entrance is the nicest room.

For now, there are no beverages, t-shirts or anything else being sold here but I'm told that may change in the future.  It's all business, with no chatting, drinking, or playing video games.  The bottom line is, this is a place to come in, have your fun, and get out.

Jet is one of my original favorite clubs in all of Los Angeles and it still holds up after all these years.

This is the last of what used to be the 3 sister clubs after the Bare and Valley Ball were both sold.

There is some street parking as well as a small parking lot, which is now free.  The entrance is on the street side.  As you enter, the DJ booth is to the left which also serves as the cashier.  Pay the cover ($6 day, $11 night, $12 after 10pm on weekends or free with Z-VIP card) and go through the turnstile.

The club is small but very cozy by today's standards and features a stage on the left with a runway.  The bar is to the right and the lap dance area is on the far side of the club.  The dressing room is located behind the stage so the dancers come straight out to the stage.  The tiny bathroom is on the far side, left of the bar. They have an outside smoking area past the bar to the right of the bathroom, flat screen TVs and as a bonus, a nice fish tank behind the bar, and of course, an ATM machine.

Stage
Stage with runway

As you can see from the picture, the stage runway allows for some really close-up floor work action on both sides of the stage.  If that's not your cup of tea, you can sit at one of the tables, or even at the bar where many of the dancers sit also.

Unlike most other clubs, the dancers get paid to work here.  Therefore, you're not going to see any dogs here and their schedule of dancers is more reliable than most other clubs.  This also allows the dancers to relax and talk a bit before asking for dances, unlike most other nude clubs.

There's open auditions on Wednesday nights now instead of the dance contest. Also on Wednesday, you get $100 off their Premiere Lounge (day or night).

Amazingly, this tiny place has a kitchen and the food is pretty darned good for a strip club.  In fact, many of the dancers eat here which tells you the quality is decent.  They also have just about any non-alcoholic drink that you can think of, including hot chocolate for those cold nights.

Lap booths
Lap dance booths in lap room

As you can see from the picture, the private booths (located in a separate room) have been upgraded since the last review and are very comfortable.

The bikini couch dancing are $20, $15 for nude table dances (which are done with the customer on the outside of the special booths) and topless dances are $30 done in a the "Executive Dance Area" past the lap dance room.

Although this club has seen some ups and downs over the many years, it has always been consistent with the quality of dancers and the level of mileage.  But what I like about this club is the relaxed cozy ambiance which doesn't exist at many of the new-wave "Gentlemen's Clubs" these days.  Come here to relax and be a regular.

Claim to fame: Independence Day was shot here.  XXX star Shane of Seymore Butts video fame used to work here.

Club

2.5 Small but very cozy.

Dancers

3.0 Always been relatively good for such a small club.

Attitude

3.5 Medium pressure from happy dancers who sit and talk unlike many other nude clubs.

Nasty Factor

3.5 Can be higher with the right dancer.  Don't expect Industry level dances but very nice.

More like a cozy lounge than a strip club.  Good combination of decent looking dancers with good level of mileage.

Topless Wild Goose

The Goose, which has been operating since the late 60's has renovated the outside sign and the interior. The walls inside has been re-done and the bathroom is cleaned up. Otherwise, pretty much the same as before. As you enter, there is no cover charge and there is a cafeteria type food ordering area, the bar is to the left of this area. To the far left of the bar is the video game and pool table areas.

If you turn around, the DJ booth is to the left and there is a large stage with 2 poles against the front wall of the building. 2 dancers dance together for 2 song sets. The dressing room is behind the stage and looks to be fairly large. The DJ uses a computerized sound system which has all the songs stored digitally and dancers must request songs that has been digitized only.

On Friday nights, it can get pretty busy there. As with all clubs, the day dancers are marginal but there were several decent lookers for the night shift but the range is pretty wide.

Although I didn't try their food again, that was one of the good things about this place before. I used to get good lunches here many years ago. Many customers were ordering the food and the DJ even announces when your food is ready.

One big difference since my last visit was that there were actually several good looking dancers there. Also, the dancer does not have to wear a full bottom on stage anymore. In fact, some of the dancers got pretty fresh on stage. For a topless club, there was a lot of "cheating" going on during the stage shows. One pair of dancers even had synchronized pole work, which was a new one on me.

Had to check out the $5 chair dance (dancer keeps $4) before 6pm and $10 after 6pm. I got them from Courtney, Carolyn and Stayce. All dancers gave moderate touching and plenty of sexy moves. It is a little sexier than the average dance at Fritz and only costs $5. However, it's probably easier to find cheaters at Fritz because of the number of dancers. Their hiring practices are the same as Fritz. Walk in under your own power and you're hired.

Don't come here for nasty stuff. It's a laid back place to get a drink, play pool and check out nice looking dancers.

Expert Customer Hint:
Get your chair dances right under the DJ booth, on the right side.

Update 12/2001:
There is now a $5 cover (and 2 drink minimum) after 8pm.

Club

2.0 Nice if you drink and play pool.

Dancers

3.0 Better.

Attitude

4.0 Good during the day.

Nasty Factor

2.0 Don't come here for any nasty stuff.
