Bob's used to have weekly features until about 1999
or so but no longer. The cover is $10 at night, ladies always get in free.
On my last trip, all drinks were only $1.25 but this may have been
temporary. Be careful with some of the waitresses who help themselves to a
$1.75 tip.
Contest night is on Wednesday. First prize is $250. This is a good
night to check out the club. Cover is $10 on Sun-Wed and $15 on Thr-Sat.
Parking lot is small for such a huge club. ATM machine available, video
game machine, pool tables and foos-ball table. Dancers have told me that
their dressing room is big with shelves and spots for every dancer.
Hard to find club in an industrial area. It's in a
warehouse building and feels like it. Largest nude club in LA area by far.
There used to be a HUGE center stage, now split into 2. There is also a
smaller stage near the bar. They have now added 2 more micro stages at the
counters (called Diamond Bars) where dancers can dance nude. Sometimes
dancers will dance on counters near table dance booths. The DJ booth is
now a towering 2 story mega booth which looks nice to customers but DJ's
don't like it. For it's Birthday party, Bob's converted the lobby area to
the new lap dancing room (with about 20 booths) and now the new entrance
is where the shower booth used to be.
As of December 3, 1997, Bob's opened a Sports Bar called Sports Page
behind the nude club. The sports bar will be serving alcohol but will not
have nude or topless dancers. You are allowed to leave the nude club and
go to the sports bar and return without having to pay admission again. The
sports bar is actually pretty large with a lot of large screen and regular
TVs for sports viewing, video games, darts, pool tables and they serve
food from a full kitchen. You will often see the house dancers (and
sometimes the features) eating there.
Some dancers here do
floor shows on stage but not in the booths.
Lap dances are $20
(dancer keeps $10) and $25 for topless versions. The lap dances are not as
nasty as they once were but with the right dancer, you can still have a
pretty good time.
Bob's has also added 3 bed dance
booths in which the dancer lies on top of the customer for $20 or topless
for $25. It is better than the lap dances in many ways but don't expect
Ecstasy type activity.
Moreover, they have also added private conversation booths.
Private VIP room now has a couch, stools, micro DJ booth and waterfall.
There are a few pros and as usual, choose carefully. I found the XXX-rated
features are not nasty there but maybe I didn't choose the right ones.
Expert Customer Hint:
Get your laps during the feature presentation. The features play the
entire song (often long songs) or longer than usual, and everybody
is watching the feature. This trick also works during the amateur dance
contest. Also, when dancers are dancing in the micro stages, sit there
instead of the large stage for better close up gyno shows.
