PlayPen is rumored
to be looking at a location near U.S.C. This new location would be south
of their current location and might be located near the D.M.V. One source
claims that this new location has some problems with the city because it
is located where the city has slated for redevelopment. If they open this
new club in the future, that would be it's 3rd club, along with
Players
Gentlemen's Club.
In other "new" club rumors, another club is slated to open in Long
Beach called "Sugarwalls" and will be topless, with alcohol and food. The
rumor was that it would open in March but I don't think it ever opened.
In related gossip, after apparently losing their liquor license, what
used to be Thirsty's was temporarily named "Passions", with a new sign.
However, after a few days, the sign has come down and now has been
restored back to Thirsty's. This could mean a change of mind about the
name, or a change or ownership, back to it's original owners.
Well I just wanted to let you know, incase you didn't know, First King
in Gardena is closed down for 60 days. I will tell you what I heard, but
this is like 3 hand info. Got it from the dancers.
Okay supposedly Sammie (female, owner, caucasian, ex-dancer at said
club, this I do know) was in court Thurs. and was shut down because she
needs to make some serious repairs. I think I told you how we make good
money there, plus guys buy drinks like it's water (might be hee! hee!)and
she never puts much money into our spot. This is the woman who owns Starz
on Rosecrans right down the street from us and also acquired King Henry
VIII a year or two ago, maybe longer. Starz is the best looking and King
Henry is decent. Dressing room is superb. Well little ole First King was
her junk pile, but we generate the most money and it keeps up her other
spots (rumor), but we do generate alot.
Okay we tip out $40.00 to the house and keep the rest. We must have
about 60 girls regularly coming thru everyday, and they are true fish of
the sea (drinkers) so she makes money off their drinks as well(I guess
like any other club). Dances are $10.00.
Okay so what makes the place so bad? A dressing room about the size of
my daughters closet (small) with that many girls coming thru, it's
horrible to be in there (rumor: Sammie is knocking the wall down to expand
our room). The womens bathroom is a one seater (small and it can get bad
in there but that is the nasty girls fault...whoever they are. The mens
bathroom is atrocious. Smelly. As long as I've worked there I have never
gone in there to look (too scared), but you can smell it as you walk by
and the guys complain. The bar stinks sometimes. I don't what the hell is
wrong with the bar. I think they said it's the water runoff. Maybe you
know what I'm trying to say. Anyway it smells like rotten eggs. I actually
carry a sanitizer/room deodorizer in my bag and will carry it on the floor
and spray. Holes in the wall. Broken mirrors (I worry about the men I
dance with. Scared they might get cut. Shit my regulars are like my
boyfriends. Don't want them to get hu! rt). Rug is funky and nasty.
Basically I think of it as working in the ruins.
I can't recall all the problems, but I think you can kind of get the
drift.
So now Sammie has carted us off to Starz and to King Henry to work. The
tipout at King Henry used to be $25.00 for the dancers, $5.00 to the D.J.,
$15.00 table dances with $5.00 going to the house for every dance. Now
that we're there, the first few days they kept that same schedule and then
they changed it to $40.00 tipout, $5.00 to the D.J., and $15.00 table
dances with $5.00 to the house for every dance. The First King girls are
pissed because it's rumoured that the King Henry girls have their same
tipout schedule. I don't know if that's true.
Well I like the atmosphere at King Henry. Although it's small, it's
quaint (yeah look what I have to compare it with), the dressing room is
large, clean and nice, the dance area is nice, the bar looks nice and the
water I trust ( I don't drink the water at the First King. I bring bottled
water every day!!!!). The girls at the Henry are nice, but my ghetto ass
people I work with argue with them and start shit. It's truly amazing to
sit back and watch them. They are truly a piece of work. The girls at the
Henry oggle, like and tip me. I recently went in there with my big money
man customer and we spent lots of money tipping them on the stage. All the
girls made good money that night (the ones who weren't homophobic. A few
wouldn't even approach the stage where I was sitting with my customer even
though they saw us breaking the other girls off. Well they didn't get
much, if any. And there is nothing wrong with being gay, but I wasn't
acting gay. Now thinking gay, ye! ah I was. Hell they looked good. I can
totally appreciate a womans beauty. I guess they didn't know how to work
women on stage. Hell I will work a woman real quick. Dance my butt off for
her on stage. Anyway that happened two weeks before we were sent to the
Henry and they remembered me and my customer and they broke me off on
stage. A wonderful co-inky-dinky.
We're supposed to re-open on the 27th of May, so I'm looking foward to
seeing what she will do. Last time she was made to do repairs she picked
the cheapest of the cheap and had the place looking like some funky juke
joint from Sanford and Son t.v. show. Some of the girls loved it so they
either don't have an eye for taste or they just really apprecciated the
simple change.
Well I guess that's all the gossip I can think of. By the way is that
your pic on the email Z-Bone page? I don't know what you look like, but if
that's you you are a cutie. I don't know if you were serious way back
when, but you said you would come thru to the King to take a peak. If you
decide to come thru to the Henry, my dance name is Sky. If you come thru
please email before hand so I can see ya. I think way back when I first
emailed you you said you were going to either Hawaii or Texas, or maybe
you had just come back.
