I shared a decent lunch with three of ASSC's finest at Sam's Hof Brau near
downtown LA (yes, Easterners, LA has a real downtown). See Z Bone's LA Connection
for physical details.
Z Bone made it. Randolph (RLIM?) made it. Jeff (Dodger) made it. And of course,
I made it. There were rumors of a Dispater appearance and a Saxbeat
materialization. Neither happened.
It is a nice neighborhood bar with topless dancers. Every dancer I saw is
pretty, sweet and friendly. OK, I was a little uneasy about the 3-foot nun,
but she wasn't pushy. Many of Sam's dancers are or have been porn "actresses".
Fine with me as long as they wash their hands afterwards.
I estimate there are between $20K and $30K worth of silicone jobs in the
place...only two of the dancers were natural...but the silicone did not seem
to affect their personalities adversely...I still don't like 'em AT ALL.
Z Bone had an endless parade of dancers coming to our booth to sit with him,
whisper to him, kiss him, hand him fists full of crumpled money (I'm not
talking)...the rest of us sat there like it was part of the show.
But you can have them all. Just leave me Jennifer, the Entertainment Coordinator
/ Manager / whatever. A sweet person and a gracious host.
I didn't get any Air Dances...that's all they offer..but I did observe a
couple, and had a chance to discuss them with a participant. I very rarely
get lap dances so when I do, it has to be with full surround sound snapper
action [hell, I don't know what it means either] or it isn't going to get
my attention. On a scale of 0 to 4, 0 being holding hands with your sister
[offer not available in WVA], the Nasty Factor would be an easy 0.25. It
would be just as satisfying and a lot cheaper to just shake hands with the
dancer, and part friends.
Other negatives are smoke and the DJ. The smoke wasn't all that bad, though,
for a full bar. The DJ, well...Pablo was colorful...no, more specifically
he was colored...blue. His headband was blue, his extensive collection of
tattoos (on his body, not like in an album or anything) were blue, his fingernail
polish was blue...I stopped looking for blue after that...I don't want to
know that much about any DJ.
Add it all up...if Sam's was in my neighborhood, that would be my "regular"
club.
