Z:
Where are you originally from?
P:
I was born in Singapore and raised in American Samoa.
Z:
Hmmm. That's very exotic. Are you a military brat?
P:
No, not military. My father is in oil, which is how he got to be so far away
from the US. He met my mother in Singapore and they were married in Taiwan.
Z:
That sounds almost like a movie plot. Do you remember anything about the
first time you danced on stage?
P:
The first time I danced on stage was in Sacramento at a club called Risky
Business and I was very nervous. I think I just shimmied around the stage
and circled the pole a few times before bolting off the stage after my song
set was over. The girls on my shift said that I did great but I think they
were just being nice.
Z:
What type of music or specific bands do you like to dance to?
P:
I pretty much only dance to
Dave
Matthews Band and
Metallica
on stage. I like slow, sultry music.
Z:
Slow sultry music? What songs of Metallica do you dance to?
P:
I like Nothing Else Matters and Until It Sleeps the best.
Z:
What kind of music do you listen to at home?
P:
At home I love trance,
Marilyn
Manson, Metallica, and more trance.
Z:
Very interesting. Mason and trance. Let's get back to work talk. What's your
pet peeve about customers?
P:
I don't like it when customers grab dancers during private dances assuming
that we all allow that sort of behavior.
Z:
Yeah. Grabby customers are a no, no. Other than listening to Metallica, what
do you like to do in your spare time?
P:
These days, most of my spare time is dedicated to my web site. I spend hours
writing code for it, playing with new photos, or performing on my web cam
about 3 or 4 days a week. It is a super involved project but very rewarding.
Z:
Yeah, tell me more about
pipermonroe.com.
What made you create your website?
P:
It was created so that I can share my life with the people who have been
my friends and fans over the year that I have been dancing.
Z:
Tell me more about what is on your website.
P:
Pipermonroe.com is a way to get to know me, even if we have never met. I
have pictures, my bio, FAQ page, web cam, and daily diary, which seems to
be most people's favorite aspect of the site. The web cam is where you can
find me performing 3 to 4 days a week at different times. I love that part
the most because I am really just a big ham and adore the camera. Hope to
see you there.
Z:
Count me in. Where have you traveled to or where would you like to go? And
why?
P:
I have been to Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Canada, American
Samoa, Tonga. I moved here to the States two years ago, and my next trip
is going to be to Europe. I am dying to see Germany, which is where my family
originates, and to get a Eurorail pass and see all the countries along the
way. I think some of the best ways to educate yourself is through travel.
Z:
I agree with you 100%. My college roommate did the Eurorail one year and
he never stopped talking about it. It's great to do it while you are young
and open to new and interesting things. Let me get a little more personal.
What type of guys or gals are you attracted to?
P:
Above all, I like a person who is confidant, though not arrogant. I like
smart people who aren't afraid to admit that they have a brain and who showcase
their abilities through their work, their art or hobbies, or any other avenue
that makes them feel accomplished.
Z:
That's cool. Does that include webmasters? [Laughs] Nevermind. Do you have
any favorite movies or TV shows? Have you seen any lately?
P:
I don't actually own a TV, so I'm really out of date on what is cool to watch,
but I enjoy renting movies. I like war movies and think
Rules
of Engagement is my current favorite.
Z:
Very interesting. Did you like
Saving
Private Ryan? What about recent classics war movies like
Apocalypse
Now or
Full
Metal Jacket?
P:
I loved Saving Private Ryan! Well, after I picked my jaw up off the
floor after the first 15 minutes, that is. So much killing and gore! As for
the other two, I haven't yet seen them, but will make sure to put them on
the top of my Blockbuster list for the next time I swing in there.
Z:
Well, thanks for the great interview and we'll see you on your website.
P:
Welcome and tell everybody to visit me.
