Z:
Where are you originally from?
F:
I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. I guess I'm a native "Valley
Girl" like, oh my god!
Z:
Do you remember the very first time you danced on stage?
F:
The very first club I danced at was the
Star Strip in Beverly
Hills. The stages were soo small I had no clue what to do. The whole time
I was thinking "Oh my god I can't believe I'm actually doing this." It wasn't
so much that I was buck naked, I was more concerned with how to dance. Eventually
I moved on to bigger clubs with bigger stages and developed my own style.
Z:
As far as dancing goes, what kind of music do you dance to?
F:
I'm really into industrial music. For those who don't know what industrial
music is, I would describe it as angry techno music--sorta like what you
hear on the new video games. Nine Inch Nails and Rammstein are good examples
although I don't dance to them much. I also like trance, techno and electronica
and sometimes I throw a few 80's new wave bands into the mix. Whatever I
dance to has to be energetic with a good beat.
Z:
What kind of music do you listen to at home?
F:
Right now my favorite band is Project Pitchfork. I just LOVE them! I also
like Apoptygma Bezerk, VnV Nation and Informatik. I also pick up every industrial
compilation I can find. Most of these bands are from Germany and their stuff
can be difficult to find at most stores. I usually have to order them online.
Z:
What's the scariest thing that's happened to you at a club?
F:
TWell one time at the Jet, I was sitting at a table talking to one of the
girls and there was a cigarrette burning in the ashtray (this was back when
they allowed smoking). Anyway I started to notice a weird smell when my friend
screamed 'Oh my god!!!' I looked down and noticed my hair is on fire! The
bouncer ran up and almost hit me in the head with his clipboard to put it
out. LOL! Luckily I managed to put it out with my hands before the fire or
the bouncer could do much damage. It didn't burn enough for anyone to notice,
thank God, but that smell lasted the entire night. It wasn't funny at the
time...ok, I guess it was. LOL
Z:
How about any pet peeves?
F:
I'm usually a pretty laid back person but if there is one thing that really
pisses me off at the club it's when after working up a sweat trying to put
on a kick-ass show on stage, only half the people sitting at the rail tip.
Grrr!
I also hate when having a conversation with someone and they can't make eye
contact with me. I don't want them to stare or anything but can't you just
look at me when I talk to you? Like when I ask someone if they would like
a lap dance and they won't even look at me before saying no. It's not the
rejection I am worried about, I just think it's rude. Also, I'm a big stickler
on manners. Being polite goes a long way.
Z:
What do you like to do in your spare time?
F:
I just graduated college and I've been looking for a "regular job" as a
copywriter for the advertising industry with not much luck thus far. I need
to be mentally stimulated or else I get lazy and depressed so I try to stay
as busy as possible. To keep busy and challenge my brain, I've been taking
computer and graphic design classes. In fact I recently earned an HTML
certification. Other than that, I usually spend alot of time on the computer
playing games like Ultima Online or reading bulletin boards. I also like
to do work on the house and I'm trying to develop a green thumb in the garden.
Z:
Have you travelled?
F:
Unfortunately I haven't done much extensive travel. I'm not thrilled about
flying or boating (I get sea-sick). I've been to New Orleans during Mardis
Gras, New York and Phoenix to visit family, Vegas baby yeah, and I've been
to Hawaii twice. For some reason I've always wanted to go Florida to see
the swamps and then off to Bermuda to do some snorkeling. And I would love
to go on an African safari or visit the Brazilian rain forests. It would
be sooo awesome to see wild animals in their natural habitat.
Z:
What type of guys are you attracted to?
F:
For me, a man's personality and intelligence is more important than appearance.
Looks only get you so far in life. I like a man who is a quick thinker and
can tackle any problem that comes along. Also I'd like them to be financially
secure--meaning I don't have to support them, ambitious, honest and devoted.
As for the women I'm attracted to, from an appearance standpoint, I love
either really dark or super light hair and I have a fetish for arched eyebrows.
I think Angelina Jolie and Fairuza Balk are good examples--Yum! Since I prefer
men, I'm really not as picky when it comes to women. If they are cool and
the opportunity arises, I'm game.
Z:
Do you have any favorite movies? Have you seen any lately?
F:
I don't watch too much TV but the one show I can't miss is "That 70's Show."
I know its a really corny show, but everyone in it is just soo funny and
it makes me feel good watching it. I also enjoy watching animal documentaries
and true crime shows on the Discovery Channel and I can't get enough of those
design shows on HGTV--they just get my brain juices flowing. And my favorite
movies are psychological thrillers like "Seven", "8mm" and "The Cell", and
I love anything by Adam Sandler.
Z:
Well, thanks for the great interview.
F:
Welcome.
