Dancer Reviews
Angel Veil's Interview with Z Bone
Z:
Angel posingWhere are you originally from?
A:
I was raised mostly in San Diego. I moved to Santa Barbara after high school and lived there for 4 and a half years. I started dancing in Santa Barbara and since my mom was so strict, I sort of did my growing up there. So I guess you could say that Angel Veil was born in Santa Barbara. I have great memories and I love going to visit. I really consider it to be my home.

Z:
Did you start dancing or modeling first?
A:
I started dancing first and modeling about two months later. I have always been a little shy and dancing helped "strip" away any inhibitions I had about modeling. Anyone that can bare all for total strangers and be judged on nothing but their looks can take on anything. It's hard to hear "no" so many times in one night.

Z:
Club Cover I see in your bio, you've been in a lot of my favorite magazines. [Laughs] How did you first start modeling nude?
A:
I posed for a photographer that was teaching himself how to take pictures. We would shoot at least once every few weeks. This was great because I needed the practice. The pictures were just dresses and bikini, not nude. In fact, I never wanted to shoot my butt in a bikini because I didn't think it was my best quality. This photographer urged me to try out for Playboy's college girls issue... and the rest is history. [Laughs]

Z:
Do you remember the very first time you were on stage?
A:
I was a waitress at the 101 Cafe in Santa Barbara. It's now the Spearmint Rhino. I can't remember why I made the cross over. I remember being scared that I would slip and fall. A few of my friends came to cheer me on. I remember doing a theme set and half way through, realized I shouldn't have.

Z:
What kind of music do you dance to or listen to at home?
A:
Face downI listen to all kinds of music. I mainly dance to Rock. I like some Pop and R&B but I can't dance to it. I like up and coming bands that are just starting out. I can't help it. I'm a band chick at heart. Find me a struggling band and I will be their biggest fan. I love to support creativity.

Z:
Yes, bands and dancers seem to go hand in hand. What about pet peeves? Got any?
A:
Right now, my only peeves are smokers and people that don't respect copyright laws.

Z:
Oh, that reminds me. Thanks for giving me permission to use your pictures for my website. [Laughs] Other than modeling, I guess you feature quite a bit these days. I assume you've traveled a lot featuring. Where have you gone and where would you still like to go?
A:
I have the best job in the world because I get to travel. I have been all over the United States and a few parts in Europe and Mexico. I love the sun so my next calendar will be shot on a few exotic locations. My girlfriend and I have an adult toy company together and I keep asking Serenity if we can promote the toy line in Australia. She said "We'll see." Can you imagine me, Serenity, Jewel De'nyle, Heather Banks, and Jacklyn Lick on the loose? And you thought Janine and Jenna knew how to party. I have the most fun, don't I?

Z:
You sure do. Sign me up for your Australia trip. [Laughs] Sounds like you're super busy. What do you do in your spare time?
A:
I am trying to find some spare time to go to Malaysia for intense martial arts training. I don't know how much time I will have this year, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Z:
Do you still enjoy featuring?
A:
Sitting on stairsI keep my tour dates down to a minimum and I think that makes me look forward to performing more. I enjoy meeting my fans. I had a great time at CES in Las Vegas. I was really blown away by the number of fans that waited an hour in line just to meet me! I only wish they made more comfortable platform shoes. [Laughs] My feet really hurt.

Z:
[Laughs] Speaking of things you are up to, I know you just finished your Angel Veil 2000 calendar shoot, and you have a website also at angelveil.net. Tell us what's in there and why you created your own website?
A:
I am very excited about my web site. I have joined forces with Suze Randall and put together some pretty sexy stuff. The site has all the "old favorites" as far as pictures, but I have a lot of new stuff just waiting to be looked at. It has been a long time coming for this site because of copyright laws. Hopefully, that is all in the past. I am waiting an extra two months to add my new stuff for the webmaster of angel-veil.com to change its name and take down a lot of false information he has posted. I just want to make sure all my hard work isn't "borrowed" 24 hours after I post it.

Z:
Is your website a free website?
A:
For now, my site is free.

Z:
Do you get a lot of fan mail there?
A:
I really try to answer as much of my email as I can. I have even started writing down some of the suggestions given to me from my fans. They have quite a few ideas on what they would like to see me do!

Z:
I bet they do. I think I might have a few ideas too. [Laughs] What type of guys are you attracted to?
A:
I'm attracted to confident men. The kind of men that walk in a room and you notice. And not because of his looks. Of course, that doesn't hurt either. [Laughs] I have a lot of male fans and I have to travel a lot because of my job, so I like guys that can take care of themselves. I move to be babied and spoiled. I love tattoos! I you can't handle the pain from a few tattoos, you can't handle me! [Laughs] I have been known to have a thing for musicians.

Z:
Well, thanks a bunch for taking some time out from your busy schedule.
A:
Thanks and tell everyone to come visit me in person.
