T-Bob's Review of Sheer D'lite

Topless Sheer D'lite

Sheer D'lite is another small "private club" located east of downtown Dallas. "Private club" means you must be a member to enter. As far as I can tell the only requirement for membership is $3 and a willingness to part with it. This club potentially has one of the best locations in town. It is located in a dry area (no alcohol sales allowed) but operates under a private club license. It's is owned by a local restaurateur who sucks everything out of the club without putting anything back into it. The woman manager won't let the dancers do anything. Even something as tame as "getting down" on the stage. The result is something like a local bar with dancers in the background.

The club only seats about 60 customers. It has three pool tables and several video machines, which get more play from the dancers than the customers. The building is badly in need of repair. The potholes in the extremely small parking lot are so large that last week a GEO had to be pulled out with a wrecker.

There is always a fairly large turnover of dancers at any club but at this place it is ridiculous. I dropped by last week after a six-week absence and there were two dancers that I knew. This club is generally staffed by over the hill dancers on their last legs with a few notable exceptions. The lead dancer is a lady named Domi who while not a spring chicken is attractive and a very fine dancer. She has her head on straight and is a very pleasant conversationalist. Hope (as in Great White) is built like the proverbial brick sh*thouse with probably the finest set of man made "ta-tas" as I have ever had the pleasure to behold. These two could hold their own anywhere and it baffles me why they stay at Sheer D'lite. The rest of the pack come and go like thunderstorms on a hot summer afternoon.

Laps at this place are virtually non-existent. Those that I have observed are lame. Probably due to the old bag that runs the place. Since it is virtually the only place on this side of town; if you're in the neighborhood its worth stopping by to watch Domi and Hope and enjoy a cold beer, but don't go out of your way. The doorman and DJ are one in the same. Shanna the main day waitress, while plump, has a nice a*s; is friendly and knows her job.

Update: 11/20/1999
Sheer D'lite has recently been advertising "Under new management", so I decided to check it out. It is under new management but it is still under the same old ownership. The owner is building a new mega club in north Dallas on the edge of the border with Garland. He continues to suck everything out of Sheer D'lite.

While there have been no physical improvements there have been vast improvements in the quality of dancers. The exception is the departure of Hope for parts unknown. Domi remains and continues to rule the hen house. Recent additions are Angel, a compact little blonde, and two dark haired beauties that can dance with the best of 'em.

Happy Hunting!
