Obsession is a relatively new club on the Dallas scene with lots of glitz
and glamour. It serves average food with specials and buffets during lunch
hours on weekdays. It has the typical floor managers in rumpled tuxedos.
The waitresses are attractive, friendly and efficient and on the average
far more personable than the dancers. There is plenty of parking, both valet
and self-service. There are two bars and a glass enclosed VIP area. Those
are the facts and nothing but the facts.
When it comes to the dancers, I thought I had entered a mannequin factory.
Obsession's hiring policy for dancers is 19 to 24 and this results in a group
of dancers indistinguishable one from another. If you like silicone, you'll
be in heaven. Both their stage style and lap dances can best be described
as the "two minute drill". There was some mileage in the VIP area but generally
it was very mild.
Calling these ladies dancers is like calling a moped and motorcycle. There
was not a "dancer" in the bunch. Their performances consisted of what I call
the "stripper strut". No shake, no wiggle, no nothing. You're supposed to
be so appreciative of the privilege of viewing her body that you'll be mesmerized
into forking over the bucks.
An interesting note; this club is of such a "cookie cutter" variety, that
I found it exactly the same on both day and evening visits. If you're under
25, this could be your type of place. For the experienced "topless club
connoisseur", don't waste your time or money.
