As of December 1999, Tampa has followed Hawaii and
decided to ban lap dancing. All dancers are now required to be 6 feet away
from customers. Most of the clubs are ignoring the new laws for now.
However, this could change at the drop of a hat so check into it before
launching into a Tampa safari. How sad is the day when there are no more lap
dancing in Tampa. For the full article on this new law,

Last visit: 1993The legendary Mon's Venus. The very first time I heard about it was in a English publication which included the best strip clubs in the world. Next to Mon's was a star indicating it was hot. Then, I met a dancer in Las Vegas from there that told me what goes on there. I was on a plane as quickly as I could buy a ticket.
What makes this club exceptional is not just the nasty factor. Somehow, they managed to get a very high percentage of good looking dancers to work there. This is unusual because many good looking dancers don't want to be nasty.
The club itself is nothing to write home about. It's fairly small with a small stage. Many dancers dance on stage simultaneously. No real action goes on stage. It's just a way for the dancer to hook up with lapping customers. There are couches all around, along with tables and chairs. Yes, as you might have heard, you can pretty much touch what you want except for that one spot. I saw some regulars doing it, but I was told that was a no no. Some pros mixed in with college students and long time dancers.
Clean but small. No shortage of lookers here. Nice chats with the students. I've had nastier but they deserve the maximum.
