Update 2/2008:
This club is closed.

Update 2/2005:
This club was closed by the Rhino chain in 2004 and bought by the owner of Fantasy Ranch and the name will be changed to "Pony."  The following review is from 2003.

This club originally opened as Industrial Strip 2, but is now owned by Spearmint Rhino chain of clubs.

Although the inside has been zebra-ized, basically, the club still looks pretty much like before. All the stages are different from the original layout as well as the lap areas, but they are all in the same spots. The bar is in the same area too.

At the front, the security guard "wands" you for metal objects, then you walk into the box-office area where you pay your $10 cover. Next, you go through the industrial type doors, then in this large club, the 2 circular stages (one large, one smaller) are in the center of the room. It's dark but not as dark as a Rhino because of the blue neon lights that are located on the large poles or decorations around the club.

On slow nights, only the small stage was open but on busy nights they use the larger stage. The girls don't like the small stage because they can't do all that much but it's good for the customer because they just do floor work. It's slightly larger than the micro stages at Star Strip.

There are the usual chairs for sitting but there are no small lights on every table like at the Rhino. There is an area that is higher up than the main area for the lap dances which are done in an open-ish area but there are dividers that sort of separate the customers. However, it's not private. The lap dances are $15 for topless, $30 for nude, which is a pretty good deal.

The DJ booth, dressing rooms and offices are near the front area. The DJ booth is pretty cool looking and large but the equipment didn't seem to be imbedded into the table. The music was waaaay too loud for my taste and I could not easily carry on a conversation with a dancer.  The good news is, because it's a little slow, several dancers came over and chatted for a while. Nothing like the Noho Blue Zebra which was more like a regular Rhino lap factory.

All in all, even though this place looks glitzy, it's slow enough that they run it laid back and not like a lap factory. Depending on the night, dancer and manager, I suspect the laps can vary greatly.

Club

3.0 New (again) but not great area.

Dancers

2.5 Not many but no ugly ones.

Attitude

3.5 It was slow so plenty of talking. Maybe too much talking.

Nasty Factor

3.0 About average these days for nude.

ExteriorFor a few years now, this club has had new owners.  For the most part, things at the club remain pretty much the same.  Back in the day, this was indeed my hangout, where I found several of my DOMs.

This club is technically located in LA but is located across the street from Glendale.  In the last few years, walls have been constructed at the border making it just a little harder to come over to the LA side but it won't take too much trouble to figure out how to get there.  There is street parking available but you can also optionally valet park on busy nights.

As you enter, there is a box office where you pay your $10 cover charge until 7pm, or $20 cover charge after 7pm, which includes 2 drinks. Z-VIP members get $5 off the cover charge anytime.  If you want unlimited drinks, they are $15 during the day and $5 additional at night.  They do offer some interesting drinks like Espresso and cappuccino, so ask your waitress.  The club also offers $5 off the cover for Glendale residents.  There's also a lunch buffet from Monday through Saturday from noon to 3pm.

Upon entering the club, the bar is on the right side, the stage (with 2 runways) comes out from the opposite wall.  The lap dance booths are on the wall on the side of the street, the bathrooms, DJ booth and dressing rooms are all towards the back of the building.  The men's bathroom and ATM machines are behind the mirrored wall of the stage.  You can get there from the side of the bar.  There is a vending machine near the bar as well.

Since my last visit, the club has gotten a makeover and the building, lighting, bathrooms, DJ equipment, and dressing room has been spruced up.

This club has never been known for nasty lap dances, which is still true, and used to be known for some knockout lookers.  For a while, they lost their steam with the dancers but I'm happy to report that the scenery is coming back.  Some ladies to lookout for are Jenny, Misty and Kisses.

The lap dances are $30 for topless, $40 for nude and $50 for nude couch dances.  The couch dances are done in the booths on the side of the wall where the bar is.  Personally, I don't like the locations of these booths so I'd recommend the the regular lap dance booths.  Unfortunately, as with all the other LA clubs, there are no longer shower dances available.  Those were the good old days.

There seems to be a lot of couples and groups with females visiting this club.  This might be because of the upscale atmosphere that doesn't put off the female customers.  In any case, it's good fun that can be had by all.  Come here for sensual lap dances and eye candy.

Expert Hint:
Use the lap dance booth that's behind the tree decoration.  Even though other customers can sit right in front of the booth, it's still the best one.

Club

3.5 With latest face lift.

Dancers

3.0 Coming back up again.

Attitude

2.5 About average but some will sit and talk.

Nasty Factor

3.0 Good but nothing crazy going on here.

Update 11/2008:
This club is closed.  The review below is from 1998.

FrontAs some of you might already be aware, Star Strip on La Cienega was closed, then bought by another club owner. This same owner had part interest in the old Extasy club in Silverlake. This owner then bought out the other partner and is now the sole owner of this club (now renamed to Star Strip Too).

You might have noticed the facelift on the outside. On the inside, they gutted what used to be the kitchen and small office and have made the main room much bigger. They have 2 pool tables, a large screen TV, smaller TVs are the bar, a popcorn machine and the large stage have been replaced by 5 small stages (same as Star Strip on La Cienega). The "party" room behind the DJ still contains a large stage that can be used for private parties(?). There has been a complete change of management and workers (e.g. bouncers, DJs etc).

This club has always been known to have X-rated dancers working during the day. This is still the case to this day. The clubs seems to be a little slow especially during the day on weekdays. This can be good news to those seeking a lot of attention. If you have the money for laps, you will enjoy yourselves.

This club used to be known for the absolute nastiest lap dances ($30) and private dances ($20) in Southern California (including Tropical Lei). They got cleaned up when the video cameras were originally put in but I'm happy to report that the nasty factor has returned. They have a completely private room and during the day, if the dancer pays off the bouncers, none will watch over you. As in most clubs, the nasty factor is higher during the day.

Good amount of floor work done here on stage and private. The private dance is performed on a micro stage but is more private because it is in a room by itself. The shower booth has now been fixed and cleaned and is once again available. It is one of the larger shower booths available in LA.

As for the location, I have been told by several people that Silverlake has improved the area by adding a private security company to help the police officers. Personally, I have heard of less problems in that area but as in almost ANY area in LA, I would still be careful at night.

Club

2.0 3 on looks but 1 on location.

Dancers

2.5 Just not very many of them.

Attitude

2.0 Much improved but still iffy.

Nasty Factor

4.0 As always, pick carefully.
