It's been a long time since I've visited what used to be Bob's
when they had weekly features.
The look of the club remains basically the same. There are a few minor
changes but for the most part, it's the same. In fact, I noticed the "BCL"
logo above the entrance/exit area so they're not really trying all that hard
to convert to the new name. The sign that says "Welcome to Oz" is one of
those temporary signs hung up on the wall.
There is an entrance in front for Oz and a separate entrance in the back
for the Sports Page, which is a sports bar (with alcohol) but no dancers.
There is valet parking in the rear of the building but there is ample
parking on the street for free. Upon entering Oz, there is a box office area
where you pay your cover and enter a hallway which contains a tiny adult
video and merchandise store before you get to the actual club proper.
The cover charge varies depending on the day ($10 on Monday and Wednesday,
free on Thursday and $14 @ day, $20 @ night on weekends).
Once inside, it looked pretty much the same as before except it was
darker. There is a main stage with the dressing room behind it and the
DJ booth to the left of the stage. There is a second stage to the
right side and the bar is all the way to the right. The $30 lap room is near
the entrance to the right and contains multiple booths with curtains that
you cannot see through. Although I've been told the old VIP room still
exists, I did not see it on this trip. If it's in the same area as
before, it would be to past the bar on the right side. I visited the club
during the day and so there was no pressure to buy drinks. In fact, there
was no waitress and the bartender would come out from behind the bar once in
a while to ask around.
Since it was the day shift, there were not very many customers or
dancers. However, the stage pretty much always had a dancer on it.
Each dancer had to do 3 songs because of the lack of dancers. In terms of
quality, I would rate the dancers at about average. There were no really
ugly girls but there were no stunners either. A couple of girls looked young
and had nice bodies.
As for the lap dances, I tried the $30 ones in the lap area which take
place in a booth with curtains that are closed and are not see through.
Also, the floater stays at the entrance and counts the songs and does not
ever come to the booth or open the curtain. It's pretty much whatever the
dancer wants to do and the mileage can get pretty wild with the right
dancer.
All in all, this is a pretty good place to look for mileage if you know how
to find it. If you are looking for a nude club near a bar, this would
be a good pick too. It's not great like the good old days of Bob's, but it's
got potential.
