 The first thing that struck me about this club was the strange
location. Out of all the places that a new club could open, I wasn't sure
why the owner picked this area. It's mostly an industrial and business area
but not a good area at night and even a little questionable during the day.
It's not as bad as it was 20 years ago but still not the place to hang out.
Although there is street parking, I strongly recommend valet parking on the
club property.
The club itself is large and in the 80's would have garnered a good
rating from me, but not in this new environment of $1M clubs. As a matter of
fact, the sign didn't look finished when I visited. There is a small lobby
area with a box office. I like this setup in terms of being able to be
inside the building while waiting to enter the club.
The inside of the club looks like a converted warehouse with a large
stage in the middle of the room. There is a private nude lap dance area to
the left, a topless lap dance area to the right, DJ booth on the far side
towards the left and the bar is on the far side towards the right. The
bathrooms are also all the way on the other side of the building. When I
visited soon after the club opened, the bathrooms did not seem to be
finished and the ceiling was open. There were other small things that
indicated that the club was not quite finished.
The actual club area was nice and was similar to the
4 Play look but a little bit
on the lower budget feel. My understanding is that the owner was the manager
at Century and more recently, at 4 Play which would explain the look. As
with 4 Play, a little bowl of pretzels come with your soft drink, which I
always thought was a nice touch. The waitress was friendly and helpful.
Because the club had recently opened, there were only about 6 dancers on
a Friday night. That's the bad news. The good news was 5 out of the 6 were
very good looking and one was stunning. It's been a while since I've seen a
stunner like that at a strip club. It's very tempting for a new club to hire
anybody that walks into the club, but obviously, this was not the case at
this place.
The lap dance areas are behind a separate wall so that the rest of the
club cannot see what is going on. In this area, there are long bench like
seating and the area is large enough that even if there are other couples in
there, you may be able to sit in an area that is hidden from others.
Specifically, the topless area has a secluded area away from the entrance
from the lap area. As long as there are no other couples in that area, you
can pretty much get a "private" dance. However, the club policy is not to
allow super high mileage dances. This may be a way to keep the good looking
dancers, or just to keep from getting busted. In any case, you can get a
decent dance but don't expect crazy mileage.
All in all, it seems like this club has possibilities. The word on the
street is that it does pretty good business during the day. I assume the
business is from the people that work in the area. The location seems to
indicate a high mileage club is possible but that's not where it's going at
this time.
