SignThis club has been remodeled since my last visit many years ago. It's a small but cozy club with self parking in the rear and a friendly security guard at the lot. Since there is no cover charge, you can walk into the club from the back door or the front door. If you enter from the front, the stage is to your right, and there is a large area to the left with 4 pool tables. The new DJ booth is next to the bar which is near the back of the room along with the dressing rooms and bathrooms.

On a normal shift, they will have between 4-11 dancers and 1 or 2 "hostesses" who are basically waitresses. All the dancers all waitress as well which is a good way to get to talk to the dancer while ordering your drink. The crowd is mixed but seem to be more blue collar oriented with a very friendly atmosphere.

There are about 25 micro tables with chairs and mirrors on the walls. The stage is small and against the wall on the right with a skinny runway going out of the stage to the left. The DJ now controls the lights and music and the dancers dance 3 song sets. Since this is a bikini club, there is no 6 foot ABC rule in effect and the dancers come close to the patrons and do some floor work as well.

FrontPeriodically, all the house dancers go on stage for a "House Song" (which happens to be... you guessed it, California Girls) and prance around a bit. Other times, the all the dancers go on stage for a "Tease Dance" which is where they come off the stage and do a short tease in front of the customer.

There is a booth type couch to the right of the entrance where the dancers can do a no contact "chair" dance for $10 per song (dancer keeps all). The club sometimes has promotional ads in the local newspaper with a coupon to get free chair dances. This is because there is no cover and the ABC does not allow clubs to give away drinks. The dancers are doing these free chair dances for no money so be sure to give them a tip or at least get another dance for the normal price. It's always nice to tip extra anyway. Some of the dancers with seniority get paid by the hour to work there.

Although the club is small, the real find here are the girls. The hiring practice here is excellent. There were only 4 dancers the last time I was there but all were 7-9+. I think this may be preferable to the Fritz attitude of "let's just hire anybody and everybody to fill up the space."

Update 8/1999:
There are now benches in the back for smokers and the stage has been extended.

Update 9/2004:
This club is now owned by the family that owns Imperial Theater.
