Deja Vu buys out another independant, this time topless, club. Deja Vu Redlands,
formerly Sports' Club, bills itself as the newest member of the Deja Vu family.
Those familiar with DV know what that entails. The club has been remodelled
since the acquisition, and for once, I approve of the changes. Well, the
interior changes; the pink-trimmed exterior is silly. The place now has more
seats with good stage views, and more seats in general. The pool tables have
now been moved near the entrance, so there's better lighting (since it won't
spill onto the stage anymore), if you're actually there to play pool. Full
bar, which means happy hour specials and frequent dollar shot encouragements.
his club's hook is the "VIP room", which used to be a special lap dance area
but is now the _only_ lap dance area. It's an etched-glass enclosed room
to the left of the bar. Two steps down, and it's got cushy seats for dances
and, strangely a fireplace (which is great in the winter and ridiculous in
the 100 degree Redlands summers). Despite the semi-privace (customers can't
see you), there's constant bouncer checks, and their strict (they fine the
dancers if they go to far, or kick you out if you just can't keep your hands
to yourself).
Mileage is fair for a topless club. The range of girls is decent, and there
are several very attractive young lookers. Most of them will sit and chat,
although the more popular dancers, as everywhere, get tied up doing marathon
lap sessions with regulars. The place is hardly ever crowded, although I
have seen more couples in this club than in any club I've frequented (and
that's a couple dozen), to the extent that at times there are as many couples
as there are unattached male patrons.
