[Z]--> I think it was a combination of more clubs (15 to 118+) and the addition of lap dances. It's a lot easier to get a model looking girl to dance on stage and show some skin (like in the late 70's to mid 80's) than to get them to grind on a dick. It used to be the dancers could not talk to customers AT ALL, or they would be fired. There was no reason to talk because they didn't have to sell lap dances. Just go on stage and collect their money.
[saxbeat]--> [snip] selection is a good thing, especially if the clubs are run very differently; but I'd think that since Skin and SR are the same management, all it means is that dancers (and profits) will be split between clubs and with the addition of unwanted community attention, both clubs are at risk, which could hurt your interests in the long term. [Z]--> Skin says they are going to run it completely differently from SReign, and make Skin very upscale. From a marketing POV, that makes sense but I don't know if they will be able to actually do what they want to do. That was probably the idea with SRhino Downtown and Rouge Downtown but it didn't work.
[Saxbeat]--> [snip] I don't believe clubs are like auto dealers, and benefit from proximity to one another, but I could be wrong. I've heard great things about Houston, for example, where I think the clubs are grouped together. (Or maybe that is Dallas?)
[Z]--> In theory, if one club had all Latin girls, the one next to it had buff girls, next one, tall girls, next one Asian girls, that might work. But as we know it doesn't work that way, so I think you're right about clusters of clubs. Maybe one nude next to a topless (or bikini) might work, but that's about it. |
