I've been in the habit of glancing at the Spearmint Rhino's website from time to time to see if any features I like (or haven't seen, but WANT to see) are going to appear in their nearby Van Nuys club. Since the addition of the new Las Vegas club in the Spearmint Rhino chain, I've noticed that the Van Nuys club has been increasingly listed as "dark" (without a feature performer) from time to time, and, lately, every other week. Considering their previous "saturation bombing" media campaign focusing on that specific club (especially the numerous late night radio spots on 97.1 FM), I wonder if this is an early sign that the chain is starting to withdrawal support from the Van Nuys club. I think we know from other posts here about the often empty stage there due to lack of dancers. |
