I saw inside their parking lot ONLY 8 CARS!!! and NONE(no cars) outside of their lot or anywhere close to it. Gee ONLY 8 CARS IN THEIR LOT!!! I wonder who that can be? Let's see 1=The Manager, The 2nd car prolly most likely the DJ's, Then the 3rd car the waitress. The last remaining 5 cars well one of those could possibly be the floater or a security guard(bouncer) in case someone gets way too out of control with the girls. And the last 4 cars I'm pretty sure would be the dancers. That would leave me as the "IT"(Only customer) So no way I was going in to be the only Motha' Fucka' customer in the house. And get this I drove up by there at 11:00PM on SATURDAY NIGHT!!! Only 8 CARS? WTF? On the same street only a minute away from Palms, Was Coccoon it seems they have taken most of the business away. I saw probably 30+ cars outside of their car, But didn't go in either as I'm not into topless clubs. Oh well that is my report. This was the last club that I hit near LA before turning up I-15 and heading for Las Vegas. I was actually looking for Cocoon Gentleman's Club, but it was closed that night (Sunday). I drove by Taboo's on the way down the street and decided to stop in since it was right there anyway. Wanted to score an energy drink for the road and figured it wouldn't hurt to recharge a bit for the drive. Was probably around 1AM at this point since I was really late getting out of downtown LA. The club is pretty dark on the inside, but not so much that you're tripping over furniture. Most of the ambient light came from the juice bar and the DJ booth (think it was, been a while) over in left corner. I wasn't expecting much since this wasn't a club on my list, so I should say it turned into a better experience than I bargained for. There was one other customer in the place when I walked in, with a stage in the middle of the room surrounded on three sides by chairs. The lap dances are done in a separated area that wraps around the main club, kind of like Molly Brown's in Daytona. The booths are roomier, though, since they are actual bench booths and not just chairs. I sat with my back against LD area and started thinking about what I needed to do once I got to Vegas. There was a dancer on stage, but closing time stage sets tend not be the stuff of legends and she was clearly dogging it. After a few minutes of letting my mind wander, I was joined by an older dancer who wasn't outstanding but not ugly. She was also around 5'10" in heels and not slim which puts her out of my typical lap dance range. Anyhow, she wound up being the most intriguing chat I'd had all day and by the time she got around to asking for a dance it seemed like a fair exchange. Tall, like I said, red hair in the light, and more than a little world weary. On the discussion boards somebody posted a question about what makes a lap dance great. Case in point, I'm expecting this attractive but heavy dancer to be a little rough. I was thinking one dance to be polite than bolt. Three very hot dances later I was considering the ramifications of accepting her negotiated offer to step behind the curtain of the corner VIP booth. The regular booths did not have curtains but were private enough in the dark. As for the club, didn't see much of management. It was laid back, and a customer can have a good time here. Is that enough to recommend it when there are clubs as sure a bet as you'll get in this hobby throughout the City of Industry? Probably not, but if in the neighborhood it's a decent stop. I didn't get a lap dance, so I can't comment on the nasty factor, and sometimes that can make up for the whole experience, but that would only be worth it on a slower night because otherwise you have to wait for an hour to find the right girl for it. The lighting is horrendously dark and the overall classiness of the club is very low. This is a "strip joint" not a "strip club" let alone a "gentlemen's club." If you are near Arcadia, go to Cacoon down the street, though less nasty lap dances and only a topless club, they do have booz, the club is nicer, the staff is nicer, the cover is lower, and the girls are much sexier. The club was practically empty except for a bachelor party. Of the 8 grils working about half were overweight. The "buy the lady a drink?" hustle got old after 5 requests in the first 30 minutes. The girls were friendly. I stopped by a little after 1pm and stayed for an hour and a half. There were not many other customers in the club (2-3 total) and i think that is the main reason why my experience was so bad. The waitress was really pushing the whole "buy the lady a drink" crap which i truely hate. Hell I was asked to buy the girl a drink before i even found out what her name was. Anyway the dancers were equally pushy with getting couch dances. I had one girl come up to me (i think her name was desitny) and she had a really great sell about how she loved to be touched and how she gave a great dance, thing is I had just gotten off the road from a 4 hour car ride and all i wanted to do is relax for a few minutes before getting a dance. She was truely shocked that i didn't want to imeditily get a dance from her. A little while later i got a dance (or tried to) from IMO the best looking girl there, she is an asian (chinese maybe?) with a very big chest and a great figure. We agreed on 3 for 40 only to have her want to change to 3 for 60 as soon as we got back on the couch. Now the 20 bucks isn't a big deal (i showed up with 240) for me it is more so the fact that i felt like i was being husseled. When she wouldn't take no for an answer on the whole 3 for 60 thing i just walked out and left. Anyway i realize this story is sorta ramblming on but that is the sad story of my visist to Taboo. In short it is a nice club with a couple of great looking ladies just make sure you go on a day when there are other customers around. Great place to come chill, relax, and just have a good time. There's always a girl here for everybody and everyone's really easy to talk to. Christine is the hottest girl at this club, you can usually catch her there on fridays, great smoking body and really fun to talk to. No drinks so come drunk, everything is more fun that way. Seemed like not more than two minutes. I have been there on Saturday nights when the songs were longer, so it took me by surprise. I don't know if it was because of a different DJ or management trying to rake in more dough on slow night. Regardless, just thought I'd give everyone a heads up. P.S. The talent here is not all that bad. Ashley is a hottie, Isis is pretty cute too. There are a couple of others also. I was least expecting the club to be so packed on a weeknight, but when I was there, I wasn't alone. The dancers were put on stage song after song and the girls were very nice and easy to talk to. Overall, it was a good environment for a strip club and I had way too much fun. I had a few clubs in mind but this one stands out because I used to work this club when it was Golden Eyes. There weren't many girls but I was consistently in the top three of the Dance Board. Other than the Dances (I'm good in that area; my dances ROCK!), what would you like your experience at this club to be like. I'm very shy when it comes to having any regular social interaction with Patrons. If I go back, I want to please you guys in every area, not just the dance area. I want to be more professional about working as a Dancer. So many of the Dancers don't care about the Men, The Clubs, or the People they work with. They are there and happy when there's $MONEY$ but leave or have horrible attitudes when there's no $MONEY$. I want to help change the overall feeling of the club and keep the positive reviews more consistent.
