Friday night

Dropped in again last Friday night. I sat at the bar, and was joined by Jasmine. Says she was a Cocoon girl, but worked sporadically, and I didn't remember her. She and her friend Michelle (a buff muscle girl - not my type but does some nice pole work) drive in from Redlands (!). Jasmine was nice to talk to, nothing too special. I got a 2-4-1 (they did the old "all girls on stage" thing, which didn't seem to welcome with the girls). Dance was OK, nothing too hot.
There were probabaly more guys than girls there. I remember Summer, Victoria, Jasmine and Michelle. A girl named Sophie, who was pretty good looking - I didn't get a chance to talk to her.
Everyone I talked to, including Lara behind the bar, were lamenting how slow the place is. I heard again how they need to realize this isn't Vegas, it's Arcadia. Not a lot of enthusiasm.
I'm hoping they are still going through growing pains. I loke the concept of a less formal club with a bar, but they have to be able to attract good dancers. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Went there the other night and it sucked. It doesn’t have that same vibe cocoon had. Remodeling looks nice but the club still looks plain. No dancers worth talking about and none of them took their tops off. Supposedly this place is the new hot spot but I saw none the sort. No one was spending money. I don’t think I saw any of the cocoon girls there and the girls I talked to said they are just trying this place out but probably going to leave because its bad. The new owners should bring back that manager from cocoon. He was cool and there was a better vibe whenever he was there and he always had a lot of girls there even early when they opened up. the new owners look like they have money so they should find and buy him back.
I left shortly after and went next door since I remember they were closed for awhile too. I asked the manager about the dancer license thing and they said a dancer cant work without one even if she doesn’t take her top off. You risk getting shut down which is how Taboo got shut down and now Palms wont let any girls work without one. Funny how knockouts will let them give lap dances but not let them take there tops off. Lets see if this place gets shut down. Arcadia cops are dicks and will look for any excuse to shut a strip club down and these guys are giving them a good one.
All in all this place is horrible compared to cocoon. i will check back in a month or so to see if any changes have been made. I personally will now just stick with COI. Its just 10 min away and they have boat loads of girls who get naked and every club has a bar next door you can pre load on!

This place has completely redefined itself since the new ownership. I was in on Friday night and there were some extremely hot girls working... a couple not so, but overall, a good selection. The prices are fair priced and all the HD tv's around the bar is an awesome addition.
I'm looking to see Knockout's take off and become a premier spot in the area!

Stopped in for a rare Saturday night out. Arrived around 9:00 and took a seat at the bar. There was a decent crowd of customers around the bar. Not too many girls, but there were a few scattered around - hard to figure how many. I ordered a beer from the fine Lara - one complaint - it was so cold in the club that Lara wasn't in her usual bustier, sporting some sort of body suit instead. Lara in her bustier is a good thing. Heat please.
A few minutes later I was joined by Alyce. Wow - really cute black girl (I think) with a very nice body. I bought her a glass of wine and we talked a bit. She said she worked "all over" - Vegas, Florida, etc. but is based in LA. Right from the start, she was very friendly and kind of snuggled in with me at the bar. I had a couple of dances and was very pleased. She did something that some guys don't like, but I do - she did some kissing during our dances. Highly recommended.
She was so amazing I went for a 30-minute "VIP". Still in that wierd closed off, but sort of open area where the pool tables used to be. They really need to fix that up, but we were not bothered. Nothing too crazy, but pretty hands-on and I had a great time.
The other girls that I noticed looked pretty good, but I have to admit my visit was pretty much dominated by Alyce. I left around 11 in a great mood.
I'm looking forward to continued improvements here. It seems like they are trying to bring in more girls. Might have to try out Sunday or Monday night football one of these days ...

2nd Visit

I, too, was at the club on Thursday - my second visit since it re-opened as Knockouts. I think I know which PL was Freemason - next time, I'll introduce myself.
This visit was a bit better than my first. I arrived just after 7 - clearly too early for this club at this stage. But, the Series was on, and the new TV's are nice. Only problem, with all those TV's on - not ONE had the Series playing. I fixed that and settled in with a beer. One thing I noticed was that the music was not as LOUD as it was a week or so earlier.
I met the GM - a guy named Skee (?). I seem to remember that name, but forget where he was previously employed. Seemed like a nice enough guy. The new ownership is apparently out of Vegas.
The "older red head who has no business dancing" is a (formerly blond) girl from Cocoon named Tessa. Yeah, she ain't 20 anymore, but I've come to know her a bit and like her. I even clued her in that the club was repopening and she was giving the club a shot. She was told that she needed a Sherrif card and a permit - so, she had to decide if the cost will be worrth it. She was told that she couldn't get topless without those cards.
The dance prices may be evolving. Standard $20 per dance in the old lap area. The walled off dark area where the pool tables used to sit is going to be a "champagne room" or something. Rght now it's a big open space with some long benches around some of the walls. No partitions or anything, just an open room. I was told that dances here were 3-for-$90 ($30 a dance). I also learned that the old upstairs VIP area will become some kind of "Platinum" room or something - not sure what that will entail.
I had a couple of nice dances with Tessa in the regular lap area. For regular dances, you now pay the floater in advance, although I was allowed to pay for one, and pay (him) for the rest when we were finished.
I also did one round for $90 in the "Champagne room". Strictly in the name of research. I don't get the room, and assume it will get some more furnishings, partitions or something. It offers slightly more privacy than the lap booths but, honestly, not much. I did have a good time, but kept the eyes peeled at all times. Not currently worth the extra $10 per.
I'm happy to hear Freemason refer to this period as a "soft-opening". There is much to be done. They do need to hire more girls, and get them in a little earlier for us old guys. They also need to do some things to encourage more PL's. The football games will bring in some, but doing away with the cover charge when no-one is in the place and some drink and dance specials would help too.

...came in here on Thursday night. The place looks WAY different. To me, it looks like a wannabe Scores. Or, a Warehouse dance club. They have the long bar on one side and the long dance stage on the other with only about nine to ten tables in between. There was only one bartender and one server. The bartender looked young and like he just got out of bartending school. The server was cute but we did not talk. There were about 15-20 PL's and only 5 girls. Violet, Victoria, Mandy, Summer and this older redhead lady that in my opinion had no business dancing. Victoria and Summer were pretty good looking but nothing special. I was very happy to see Violet. She is pretty hot and fun to be around. She was busy with a party so didn't have a chance to chat her up. No Taylor, Ashley or Juliete. Chatted up Mandy. Its crazy that she has danced at so many places that I used to go but don't remember seeing her. She is cute and nice rack and ass. A little bit if a gut which she covers well (probably recently had kids) No dances this time around. There were a few guys who got dances but that was it. Mandy said it was a soft-opening. Hope this place brings back some more cocoon girls while they try and hire newer ones. Hope they don't make same mistakes as the past. This place has potential, but they gotta get more hot girls like Violet. Will be back in another couple of weeks...cheers

First visit to new club

Dropped in to check out Knockouts last night (Friday). I got there a little after 8:00. The guy at the door checked my ID and took my $10 cover. No pat down. I asked how the opening went, and he said "great". He told me that it got pretty busy after 9:00 - both customers and girls - "that's when the girls get in". Ugh - an hour wait.
First change that I noticed was the addition of two glass doors at the entrance to the club - each bearing the Knockouts logo. Nice.
The club looks quite different. The bar is a long straight stretch of marble. The tiny stage and smoke thingy is gone. No more sushi. There are six or so large TV screens showing sports and such. There are also projection screens - one over the stage, one over where the pool tables were. On the opposite wall from the bar the stage is now also quite long, featuring two poles and lots of seating. I learned that the poles spin for added effects. Whoo hoo! It looks like the old lap booths are still in place, but the pool table area was walled off and dark. I never could talk to anyone to find out pricing and options.
When I walked in, there were probably a half dozen customers, and maybe twice that many waitresses, bartenders, barbacks and other people wandering about. No girls - not one. The waitreses were mostly just standing there. The owner (I think) was there making sure all was right for the evening - he said "Hi", but didn't introduce himself. Laura the bartender was there looking amazing.
I ordered a beer and quickly realized another change. The owner got a nice sound system in there. And, the music is LOUD. The projection screens and one TV showed music videos to go with the music. Laura was nice and tried to engage me and other bar customers in conversation - but, it was not easy to hear her. This could be an issue if you liked the ability to sit and talk to your fav. With the TV's and music, the place looks like a sports bar/club combo.
So, I sat and had a beer and waited. Around 9:00 I saw four girls - turned out they were customers. Around 9:30 two or three dancers showed up. One was a girl named Amber - don't remember the others, but didn't recognize them. Amber went up on stage first, and I figured I'd hang at the stage and check things out. She was hot, but after a minute looked completely bored or distracted. She fiddled with her top at the start of the second song, but did not take it off  I threw a few bucks out, and when she picked up her tips, she never even looked at me. One girl got in with a group of about 5 guys, and never left them. Not sure where the other girl hung out. I left around 10 - and those same three were the only dancers there.
I'm hoping that they are still in the soft-open stage. They need more girls, and some girls in there before 9:30. The music has to be toned down a bit. I'll go back soon to check on progress.
I also noticed that Taboo down the street was open as Palms (again).

Which dancer is the one you talked to? Yeah, Gentlemans Club is pretty awful, but maybe with the right girl there, it maybe worth your while. I agree, there are not many clubs for Pasadena peeps. I roll to The Score or Sam's. Downtown is the closest for now. I also work inthe South Bay, so I still sometimes roll to my old haunts...hope to hear good news soon. I'm also curious who will end up staying after the "shake-up". ususally, owners brung in their own people, dancers included. I guess we will have to wait and see...

This club has been sold many times over and NEVER DOES WELL. It used to be known as "Paris Showgirls", Then became "Golden Eyes", After that yup a "Spearmint Rhino". I am just quite surprised with all the  Rhino corps. have in promotion and they couldn't draw any business either that Cocoon would buy it off from them.
You might want to call the club and see if they pick-up.

I stopped in last Thursday, and it was pretty busy. Quite a few customers and quite a few girls. Good vibe.
I've been hanging out with a blond named Tessa. She's nice, curvy with bolt on's very friendly. I've also hung out a bit with an hispanic girl named Gemini. Not the hottest in the club, but kind of pretty, big naturals, very nice to sit with and talk to. Plus, she usually orders water - so a cheap date!
I'm going to stop in tonight to watch the last half of the NBA finals game. Not sure who will be there for entertainment.

So a group of like 5 of us went in last thursday evening and this place wasn't bad at all. girls on average were like a 7 which is good since i've been to some local clubs and well lets just say mileage is high and quality quite low.
Drinks were also reasonably priced and so were dances. Few names that DEFENINTLY stood out were Mandy,Ashley and this other Dancer I believe her name was viola or violet? not quite sure but she wasn't really my type don't dig the cigarette breath or caked on eye makeup but she was sweet. the mandy girl was way sweet and wow! can she give a dance!! (guessing thats why she stays busy)
ashley was nice too just a bit timid and well doesn't speak much english.
Anyhow We will defenintly be back to this spot. had a great time here.

I was @cocoon last nite&have to say I saw the worst management I seen in my life. So trashy&unprofessional. There was a confrontation between a small little dancer&3 girl customers. The 3 girls went up to the dancer&started talking $h#t. Instead of kicking out the trouble makers, the manager let them stay, then proceeded to yell at the dancer on the floor infront of all the customers. The dancer NEVER did anything to provoke the girl&was upset cuz the manager told her to leave....then I saw the most dispicable thing I have yet to see in a strip club....

I feel horrible that these men are treating the girls that work for them in such a manner. I understand it is a strip club, but just because you're in charge gives you no right to lay hands on a woman...PERIOD!
You know who you are and what you did...still debating on calling to report him so none of the other girls get hurt. I will not be coming back to this club due to the simple fact that I will not contribute my $ to a man that is so disrespectful & cannot manage his own bar. Needs to take some anger management classes, business classes&etiquet classes.....TRASH TRASH TRASH!
Hopefully when they sell the club the new owners will have better business sense and some common decency. I stopped by The Show last night to hang out and watch the Laker game (among other things, I hoped). At 6:30 , te were plenty of guys but only two girls, both of whom were busy. It didn't look to be changing, I got impatient and left.
So, I decided to take up recent recommendations to check out Cocoon. Haven't been here for quite a while. Well, it was also dead, as I arrived pretty soon after it opened. I sat at the bar and got a beer.
Well, it was my lucky night, as a nice young lady sat down and we got to talking. Her name was Auburn, cute blonde with small boobs and a toned body. Great legs. We talked for a while and I asked for a dance. The booths around the back are about as I remembered, but we had no bouncer attention at all. Afer two terrific dances, I asked about the VIP.
The VIP is $150 for a half hour, in the upstairs room, and includes two drinks of your choice. We grabbed a couple of Patron shots and went upstairs. I had a great time. Very hands on and attentive. No bouncer attention at all. Nothing too crazy, but very enjoyable. I highly recommend Auburn.
I left a bit after 9, and there were several more girls there and just a few guys. Almost wished I didn't have to go - it could have been interesting. I'll be giving this place another try soon.

There aren't any Papa Joe's girls over here, but this club has been better than the Show lately. Drinks are cheaper, there is usually more people and girls, they have sushi, and most importantly, they actually go topless and the mileage on the dances is far better, even though they are more out in the open than at the Show. I used to go to the Show a lot, but I have only been there about once in the past month as I now prefer to go here, so I would check it out one of these nights if I was you and see if you like it or not.

I used to frequent this club when it was the Vu but forgot my log in info - so we'll start new.
The prob is the thugs in this barrio do not have enough class for this club.
The dancers here range from 20sto 40s - kittens to cougars and all that I saw were top dollar. Some of the thug customers have $10 to spend all night long and don't have enough class to be a VIP.
My fave is April. A beautiful petite with dark hair and perfect boobs. Another was a new girl, not sure of her stage name. She was a tall redhead in her late 20s with a healthy booty (perfect!)
The managers need to upscle this place & make it a suit & tie only place. It has the interior but the clients run off real businessmen and real bank.

well i come here once in awhile and i have no problem with the door guy. i feel very safe in this club and after you pass the door guy everyone inside is laid back and cool. things i like is how beautiful the club is and how clean everything is. it costs only 5$ to get in and they have awesome drink prices.
1 of the owners djs couple days a week there and its a blast when he is because he offers crazy drink specials and had different compititions to get the vibe going.

I ended up at Cocoon for the first time last night, as The Show had decided to do a special party (without the girls).
I showed up around 9:30 ($5 cover) and it was dead: three girls, and probably about the same number of guys. The place looks recently done, and clean. They had Hef on tap for only $3 - first nice surprise. They had several pool tables available too.
Since it was dead, they weren't doing much with the stage, but they did finally fire it up. I gotta recommend "Tigressa". Young, cute, small and natural, beautiful skin, shortish dark hair, no tats, and really athletic pole work. Dances on the main floor were $20, but 2for1's seemed frequent. Her 2for was good, so I decided to try the VIP area; it's upstairs and we had it to ourselves ($150 1/2hr, including 2 free drinks). Nice.
All the dances were pre-pay (first time I've experienced it, but I can understand). By midnight, there were many more guys, but no more girls. The only other girl I met was Trish - pumped sister, with booty. Her pole work was good too, but didn't get a dance.

I was back to this place last Saturday 8/15 and ooh boy can you imagine how fun it was, not to mention new and hot girls working here too, This is for you Ecstasy :]
All dances were 2 for 1, and they were pretty long average 3min each. Although I wish here was a nude club, but the girls in here come and flirt with you, and there is no pressure for dances or drinks unlike some of the nude clubs.
I decided to go back and check this place out yesterday 8/24 again and tried the sushi too, took the advice and ordered the cocoon roll and I should say better than regular sushi restaurants out there. Also new massage chairs.
I liked this place, it is clean and friendly environment if you want to have boys night out and chill. Not so much of nasty factor in here, but definitely worth checking out.

Usually 10-15 customers, the poor girls I hear the owners charge the girls nude club payouts the girls are ok, last friday 50 girls showed up and maybe 15 customers, the management needs to hire someone to show them how to run a strip club.

Well, guess I needed to find out for myself. OK, no joke, the girls are hot! I know, go figure! Only about 6 PLs and a handful of girls. We hung out at the bar, some people were playing pool. The lap dance area is along a corner of the club. Very dark, I actually didn't see it even though it's in plain site. They have a private VIP area upstairs, $150 for 30 min. The girls are pretty ignored when they dance for you. Jackie is UHM so I was enjoying it. Only thing is bouncer dude kept walking towards us so she kept an eye on him. Turns out he was only walking up to his clipboard to mark the song sets. The next part is funny, I told Jackie and Aries that I would write a report here so they gave me the girls names...over and over again! I don't know how you guys write RC for so many girls and I only had a few to remember!

I would say that after visiting this place a few times and never seeing any topless girls, anyone getting lap dances, or any dancers on stage (usually stopped by around 7-9pm weekdays), I was not too surprised, though disheartened to find out that while they have not gone out of business, their customers go there for the drinks, the pool tables, the loud music, the lounge, and the sushi? instead of for topless hotties. So, they officially made it a "Club" not a "strip club" after 9pm, at least Thursday thru Saturday, not sure about he other days. I love how all of a sudden a ton of new members are coming on here and praising this club. I have posted numerous times about many clubs around the greater Los Angeles area so you can trust my judgment - one night does not make a club. This club is FAR more often than not a ghost town, and with the new owners it is only going to get worse, especially if they are already likely creating accounts shilling their own club on here. If you want to have a beer or two and don't care about whether or not the club is dead, or if you are just coming in here to see your favorite girl, then the club is decent. However, if you are trying to find a place that is "off the hook" or has a "Vegas atmosphere" as I have seen quoted in previous posts, then this is definitely not the place...

Now you're right about that. The fact that they've been through so many owners is a red flag. But I could care less how much money they're making. I'm only trying to have a good time. Everybody talks about how great pleasures was. I'm not sure if people remember the last six months was hit and miss. I can recall several nights that looked like it does in cocoon but without the classy setting. I'm not trying to crown this place club of the decade. I'm simply saying that for my money I love the club. Honestly, where else (within 20-30 miles) can you find a full bar and topless girls? Rumor has it that Friday was paked too. Was anyone there?

Look, I'll be the first one to admit that there have been some sad nights in Cocoon. It wouldn't hurt if they spent a little money on advertising. You always have the option of heading next door to the stretchmark factory or you can head down to City of Industry for a $20 cover with all the coca cola your heart desires.
Friday night was the best night I've seen outside of Vegas in a long time, I encourage you to ask anyone who was there. As for me being and investor, I'm far to smart to invest any money in to an adult establishment. I would hate to have to depend upon people like yourself that are more concerned with whether or not they can wear shorts in the club. My money comes from a higher end client.
Just out of curiousity. Which club us your favorite? Because I'm sure that club can be put under a microscope aswell. Bottom line is you should feel free to go out and enjoy yourself. Stop trying to have a bad time or just stay home.

The posts for Cocoon are becoming comedic. It seems to have turned into a high school popularity contest. I like some of you am very sorry to see the former ownership and manager gone. They made it quite comfortable for the customers. However things have changed and it’s time to move on. I have been to Cocoon 3 times in the last 2 weeks. The first 2 visits were not even worth writing about. There were very few customers and even fewer girls. Average drinks and not a lot going on. But my visit yesterday (Friday) was a different story. There were no fewer then 60 people in the club. So what if the bartender was personally responsible for about 20. The dancers weren’t 5 star quality across the board but there was definitely some talent in the building. Cocoon faithful would have recognized Mandy and Michigan. These ladies were as entertaining as ever. In addition to that a star was born. A gorgeous blonde Latina by the name of Arianna completely stole the show. During one of her stage shows she had the entire tip rail filled. For the first time I noticed that there was no one at the bar and all the guys playing pool completely stopped to take notice. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better some guy decided to make it rain!! Now I’m not talking about the kind of rain that comes from $20 (That’s not rain that’s drizzle fellas). This guy had to throw at least $200…The crowd went wild including the 10-15 female customers. Speaking of those female customers I personally loved seeing all of them go back to get laps at the same time. My only regret of the night was not getting a dance from Arianna. There was a waiting list for her by the end of the night. I’ll be sure to visit again soon. As for The show at Papa Joe’s, I haven’t been there yet. I’ve heard mixed reviews from the people that I actually trust. I’m sure they’ll do very well because they have good people there. But don’t sleep on the nicest club this side of Vegas. Customers make the club. Get your ass off the couch and go to Cocoon. Bring some money and watch how quickly this club turns into your favorite spot!

Don't know who you think I am, but I was never getting free drinks at this club. I used to go because I knew a lot of the people from Pleasures, but the new owners came in and got rid of most of them because they wanted to cut costs because the place is losing so much money. The review from Santo is pretty accurate as well - there were maybe one or two times about a month ago where this place was actually busy, but the other 10 times or so I went there there were usually only about 6-7 girls maximum and maybe 5-6 guys, which I didn't really care about because most of the time it was the people that I wanted to hang out with anyway, but the club is and always was pretty dead. The first time I went to Papa Joe's after they got their license I saw more people there than I ever did at Cocoons. Also, just for the record, I don't work for that club or have any affiliation with it whatsoever. Just know that it provides a much better atmosphere and has owners who actually know what they are doing. Oh, and as for the lap dances, they do have dances at Papa Joe's, just as they used to at Pleasures. I haven't gotten one so not sure if they are worth it, but they are definitely offered.

is a joke. friday at 830pm and about 8 girls more or less and 4-6 dudes. recent reviews about how this place rocks and its so f'n tits, and blah blah is total bullshit. this place is going down fast. bad location, bad service and the $5 tap beer is flat, why get tap when the bottle is 5 also. the bar tender talked her ass with some other dude and didn't refill my beer until i called her, then i had to ask for napkins...3 times...and to top it off, she stands right in front of you until u pay for the beer. dead on a friday with with bad service, means it will be dead completely.
dancers were friendly, 3 said they didn't drink and were bored and one said it been dead for a while
new fish reviews are so bullshit...its probably "hammed" posting trying to pump this place up.....pumping 10lb crap into a 5lb bag.
won't waste my time and effort on this place again

Frank and Dean's (now The Show at Papa Joe's) only recently got their license to have dancers about a week or two ago, so any reviews that said that there is no stage or girls working there are no longer accurate. The club, however, is bikini only, so if you are looking for a topless place like Cocoon's then you are likely to be disappointed. However, if you used to enjoy the atmosphere of Pleasures, then this is definitely the place to be, not Cocoons.

I'm new to Pasadena and have been going to clubs in the Bay Area for over 10 years, just moved down here and have been out checking out the local clubs... here's my take:
1) Frank and Dean: This place was a joke! It was a total fake gentleman's club, it's like a restaurant or something. There were no topless girls, only waitresses, no stage, no nothing. It was lame, I only went there because the cabbie said "Pleasures" closed. Never been there, but if it was anything like Frank and Dean's I'm glad I've never been there.
2)Cocoon: After F and D, I was scared to try anything else in Pasadena, but I took a chance this past Saturday, and after reading the other reviews and I must say, I was truely impressed by Cocoon. I saw a Spearmint Rhino sign outside so I guess it was bought over. I don't care who the owner's are, this place was awesome and spacious, a true "gentleman's club" not like some other hole in the wall places I've been to. A hot leggy dancer gave me a tour of the upstairs private VIP room, plus I got to spend some alone lap dance time up there with her +++++ Ok, I'm going on and on, but Cocoon is truly a Vegas style club. Without the Vegas prices. Exactly what I was looking for, plus it's nearby. I'm definitely going back for the Cinco De Mayo party this week.

Just an FYI for those of you who had been going to this club in the past two to three months - there has been an ownership change and this place is quickly going downhill. Any of you who went here to see anyone from Pleasures will be greatly dissapointed, because they let all of these people go. If you want to hang with any of these people, go to The Show at Papa Joe's (formerly Frank and Dean's). This club got their license to do bikini dances and it has been really busy the last couple times I have been there. Also, if you used to go here to hang out with Mandy, Devon, or a lot of the other top girls - they are no longer working here due to the change. I know Devon is over at Papa Joe's. I HIGHLY recommend going over there instead of over here becaues this place is headed downhill fast...

I decided to stop by Cocoon for the first time last Wednesday afternoon just to see it for the first time, and it looked real primising to me. I got in around 5:30 PM, and there were maybe 4-5 girls and 4-5 other PLs in the place. Not too bad for a new club, I thought.
I had not been here since before the Spearmint Rhino days, when the club was still called Paris, but the inside was vastly improved. The decor was really upscale and looked even a little bit nicer than both SRI and SRR, from what I remember.
Cover was $5, but when I mentioned seeing the ad that says "no cover until 9 PM", they let me through. Dances are fully clothed, there is a public area for $20 individual dances, a separate (but not private) are for $100 half hours, and an upstairs for private dances, but I don't remember the cost to go upstairs.
I was on my way to somewhere else, so I didn't get any dances this day, but the place looked good, and I will be back.

-We now have a cover charge after 9pm. It is five dollars at the door. We do not have a cover before 9pm.
-We have a downstairs VIP Room for 100 to 150 dollars a night (prices vary on the night) for every 30 minutes.
-We also have a new exclusive VIP Room upstairs for 175 dollars for 30 minutes which includes two complimentary drinks. Its newly furnished and worth checking out.

was there last night again after the drag strip and it was VERY busy. there has been a big change since the first few times I have been here and this place has gotten a lot busier than the last time i was here. The club looked full, probably 100 people or so. dancers were nice,i got the same type of dance. the girls were friendly. i was there really for the drinks so i was hanging by the bar most of the time.
1 thing i didnt like was the dancers trying to start convo with me. i mean i dont mind it but they must have seen that i turned down the previous 5 and all i wanted to do was drink. but oh well, they are just doing their job.

you know what, I stopped by for a drink after the races with some friends over the weekend and this place didn't seem too bad. They had a lot more girls and a lot of them were lap dance worthy. I was there kinda early so there wasn't that many customers but with the amount of girls they had on the floor I am sure they must have been anticipating a busy night. I also noticed that the vip room was made up on the second floor.
as somebody else mentioned before about the rhino pictures hanging on the wall. it seems like they changed them out already. looks like this club is staying.
I did get 1 dance from some petite mexican girl. it was better than the last time and the bouncer wasnt standing there humping my leg. the dance could have been better but i wasnt expecting too much as it is a topless club and the dances are out in the open. i am guessing the vip dances upstairs must be a lot better.
all in all my experience this time was better. i will come and check out this club during peak time next month to see how things are.

After visiting Cocoon last Saturday I'm wondering why everyone seems to be down on this club. Cocoon is by far the best looking club this side of Vegas. Management seems to be listening to the reviews because they ran several 2 for 1's. Sure the club can have a little bit too much of a "bar" feel to it, but that's up to the customer to be honest about why we're there (Personally I'm there to look at naked girls!). Feel free to turn around and enjoy the stage instead of watching ESPN on the flat screens.
For my money a beautiful blonde latina named Desire is the way to go. She caught my eye as I watched her on stage. Beyond her tiny waist, perfect butt and amazing eyes she seemed genuinely interested in making sure that I had a great time. She was smiling every time I was looked at her and made me feel like I was the most important guy in the club. I took it upon myself to enjoy a few lap dances from her and let me tell you just the thought of her touch has made it a lot easier going home to my girl this week. I look forward to heading in this weekend for a repeat performance.

So, I stopped in last night for a short visit. Got in about 10:30. Probably no more than 8 or 9 girls there, but by the time I left around 12:30, there were more. At first I thought "uh-oh, small crowd, no fun". But, I had a good time.
From what I remember the line-up included Devon (she seems to be there at all times), Tia (seemed to stay to herself much of the time), Selina (a plus-size girl who was much nicer than I expected when she came over to say 'hi' to me), Wilder (cute ex-Pleasures girl), and a couple of pretty cute dancers that I didn't recognize. I spent quite a while with Electra (another ex-Pleasures girl) who seems to like me when I come in because I'm a "familar face" from the Pleasures days. She actually suggested getting dances every so often - which I didn't mind a bit. Ended up doing a half-hour with her to see what they were like. Halfs are done in a couch section to the front of the club. Not much privacy, but much more comfortable than the lap benches in back. I was hassled about 3 or 4 times by the bouncer (who was also apparently from Pleasures, and acted like it with his "sir, you can't touch the ladies" line). Electra was very nice and enthusiastic. Highly recommended.
I beleive they ran some dance specials last night too. They had the old Pleasures moto rumble - but the girls don't have to go up on stage. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of a half hour, so I didn't get the particulars or have a chance to take advantage.
Also in the club (as customers)were the owner and manager of Pleasures. They apparently opened a new location in Burbank - but it was closed after just a few days. They are still dealing with problems trying to re-open. Also, rumor has it that they "want to get in" on Cocoon. So, maybe if the club is "for sale", they'll have a chance.
I'm still hoping this builds some momentum and settles in to become a great club. I may have to check out the Vu in COI too - haven't been there yet.

I was hanging out last night at a friend’s pad who lives in City of Industry, so we decided to head on down to Déjà Vu and check it out for a while.
I really don’t like going to the all nude clubs, but D.V. is cool, all other clubs you get pressured in buying drinks, songs are short for dances and so on…Déjà vu waitresses are cool and not pushy at all and the dance specials are awesome!
Anyways……
My friend and I get to D.V. around 9 pm and I’m kicking back by the stage and they do a roll call and all the girls go on stage. I recognized one of the dancers from Cocoon’s and I went to the stage to say Hi to her, she had a surprised look on her face.
After the girls got off the stage, she came over to me, I said to her: Hi, how are you? She said to me: “You found me, you tracked me down”, she seemed a little bit embarrassed or shy about it. I said to her; No, I was not looking for you, I just happened to stop by tonight out of the blue. She told me; She was not making any money at Cocoon’s so she left.
I did a couple of topless dances with her last night. :o)
I do hope this club sticks around, that past couple of times I’ve been here, I had fun and some good dances here. Pleasures was a fun place and hoping Cocoon’s can carry it on. Only time will tell?
Chefboy, sucks on how London was going back and forth with you. She's always been cool, I've known her since the Pleasures days. Have a good one fellas!

It saddens me to report this, but this club already seems to be heading downhill. I went in tonight and there were only 4 dancers there and by 11:30 or so there were only 2 dancers on the floor. I think most of the girls have started to realize that most of the money to be made at this club is on the weekends so they aren't working Wednesdays and Thursdays anymore. Management needs to realize this and make the girls work one of these two nights if they want to work one of the weekend nights so that the club can always be full of girls. Otherwise, this club is going to die a slow death...

Chefboy, I know what you mean about turning into a bar and not a dance hangout. It seems that no matter how many times it is mentioned on here, and how many times the management promises to do it, they never run any dance specials. I guess the owners have never been to a strip club before. If once an hour you got all the girls on stage and announced a 2 for 1 dance, you could get a lot of the booths occupied and get more guys interested in getting dances, because take it from personal experience, once you get a girl on your lap, especially if you have been drinking, it is hard to say no to more dances. Now don't get me wrong - I like to hang and buy the girls drinks. I just think that the full potential of this club could be realized if they actually ran these specials as promised.

Trip report Saturday night

So, I was planning on a Sunday night visit, but I couldn't find if the club was open on Sundays, so I stepped in on Saturday night instead. By the way, I asked the doorman about Sunday nights and he "thought" the club just opened on that night.
I got in around 9:15. 20 dancers were promised - I could find fewer than 10. I came in, found a seat at the fairly crowded bar and ordered a drink. Almost immediately, I was approached by London. Now, I usually like to sit a spell before "hooking up" with someone, but she was fairly persausive, and I invited her to sit. She suggested that I buy her a drink (not my favorite approach, but I agreed). After a bit of nice talk and some mild but interesting GFE, she suggested playing a game of pool. Again, I agreed, and followed her to the table where I paid for the rack. She complained that she was cold and wanted to get her jacket. So, I waited. When she reappeared wearing a little sweatshirt, she began talking to another fellow at the bar. I got tired of waiting, and figured I sit at the stage for one song to give her time to chat with her aquaintance. So, London came over and told me she decided she wanted to "hang out for a while". When I reminded her about pool, she huffed and said "OK, we can go play pool". I'm not one to twist arms, so I told her to go "hang out". She immediately went over to a second guy at the bar. After a few minutes, I saw them at the POOL TABLE. She was enjoying her new date while drinking my drink and playing my rack of pool. Enough of a long story - let's just say that Miss London is off my dance card.
So, otherwise, it was OK on Saturday night. More customer's than dancers - mostly sitting at the bar making it hard to find a girl to hang out with. Very little lapping going on. NO dance specials at all.
I don't think I'm complaining - but this club seems to be turing into more of a bar hangout than a place to get dances. Somehow, a little more lapping should be going on - I was prepared and ready, but found little interest from the girls who were mostly hanging out drinking.

Thanks Louis for your concern and for the apologies,
I am not sure why the owner has it still for sale. He might just be keeping it up, just to do it or perhaps just forgot to take it down? We haven't talked much about it. I do know that he has had offers and have turned them down. I do know for a fact he does not want to sell it though and is hoping to open many more of these clubs all throughout california. If I receive any more information I will let everyone know. In the mean time...enjoy the place. We have our own original dancers with a lot of the pleasures dancers.
With hot girls and alcohol, what more can anyone ask for? We should have 20 girls or so there on friday and saturday. Come check us out!!

I just wanted to say sorry about the negativity to the staff & management and was drawing my own conclusions of what was going on behind the scenes. Again, I never stated these as facts but assumptions.
A couple of questions that I do have is, Why hasn't the owner deleted the club as being for sale yet if it's already been a month since he did this?
Also if the asking price the Cocoon owner was asking for was somewhere around $1.5-$2 million whatever it was HOW MUCH DID HE END UP BUYING IT FROM THE RHINO ORIGINALLY? From the looks of it he must have paid much less than this if he was planning to see if he could make a quick profit sale.

I hope this club does stick around. I had a good time the past several times I stopped by, not a whole lot of customers and dancers, but I had fun. I like the dancer Mandy.
I plan to stop by tomorrow night. Hang out at the bar, have some beers, check out the Lakers game on the screens, see a couple of dancers dance on stage, probably get a couple of dances and then head on home after that, nice way to start the weekend, I'm having a busy work week. TGIF tomorrow!

Hello Gentlemen,
I apologize about the delay in response. I have been busy with the new business. Where to begin?
The business was posted on loop.net. It was not a decision that management made. It was a choice by the owner. He was curious just how much he could sell the business for an attempt for an easy profit. That post on loop.net was over a month ago when the business was only a few days old. He has no thought of selling the business anymore. It's getting bigger and bigger by the weeks. The business is doing well now and for the first time since it's been opened, we had over twenty dancers there last friday. Thats pretty good for 5 weeks of business. Imagine what it will be like in 3 months? Remember..pleasures was open for 13 years. Rome wasn't built in a day? Correct?
As for the management problems that you guys say is occurring, it is mainly due to the fact that their were three of us. We each tried to pull the business our own way for reasons that would benefit the guests. It is always about the guests. I use to go to topless bars all the time and would love it when the business was concerned about how it was treating us. But again I state...there "were" three of us. Now there is only one. The owner found this conflict to great for the business and let the others go. The new manager is actually very good at what she does. She started other clubs when they first opened and helped them become very big. She's going to try to move this business in a beneficial direction..for both the guests, dancers, and managers.
For all those people who love this place? Keep coming...working there as much as i do, I know we have tons of regulars. It's a great place...who wouldn't come? If you don't like this place, give us a bit more time. Drop by every so often. It's a new club with cheap prices, and yes..I do agree with addicted2life. Where else can you go for a five dollar cover charge and five dollar beer? 10 dollars and you could sick back, drink a few beers. Better than paying for a 7 dollar soda where the waitresses harass you to buy drinks.
We also have Wednesday drink specials. If you come before 9 there is no cover. Beer is 2 and 3 dollars. Thats tough to pass down.
I will talk to our DJ and let him know to apply more dance specials. I will enforce this as my number one priority. We will make sure that the Cocoon is an enjoyable place for everyone. Take care all..

I heard from a couple of the dancers that the pictures that were left over from the Rhino were coming down this week sometime. I highly doubt that the club is the Rhino masquerading under a different name because paperwork would have to be filed in order to do business under a different name, and a savvy business owner would be able to dig this up and figure this out before he bought the club. Also, the other poster said that the method they were going about selling the club was fairly amateurish (posting on Loopnet) so I doubt the Rhino would go about it in such a manner. I have been here a decent amount the last couple of weeks and I think that while there are a few things the owners need help with (dance specials being at the top of the list) that the club has a lot of potential with the people they have working there.

OK - I take back my comments about it sounding like you held a personal grudge. I think this has all been so weird, so fast. I've been in a couple of times, a few others here that I recognize have gone in, and we've all had a good time! I think that with the demise of Pleasures, many of us were hopeful that this could be a good replacement.
I'll keep watching for some rebuttal from management, and may just drive over there this Sunday - but, it isn't looking too promising right now.
Maybe the Zbone guys should band together and buy the place? Just kidding.

I searched Loopnet and it said that there was one match under Cocoon's and Arcadia, which must be the club, but I couldn't view the actual listing because I wasn't a premium member, and I wasn't about to pay just to check it out. It can't be a good sign though if they are already trying to sell the place, which sucks because I really like this place.
