Just an FYI, Kira (arguably hottest ass) and no doubt one of the best pole performers at 4Play (with all due respect to Tabitha), IS still working there...from time to time ! No regular schedule, unfortunately ! Keep checking the website !
I agree that "Devin" is certainly a hottie, but the dances leave a whole lot to be desired !
Overall, I'm happy to see quite the turnover at 4Play lately !

Few quick remarks
|
I was in the mood for a relaxed strip club night, and I decided to see what 4Play is up to nowadays.
It was the first visit ever that all the girls on stage got completely nude, many for a significant portion of their stage time. Kudos to the club for finally living up to its "All-Nude" advertisement. Alas, the stage lighting was darker than it used to be. 
The main strengths and weaknesses are still there. The lineup was really impressive, the song length was still the longest I have seen in Southern California, and the lap mileage was, well, more like footage than mileage.

All i'm saying is that I actually go to 4play, something that most of the ranting d-bags don't do, and it's where I choose to spend my money. I've checked out many of the other la clubs, and I can't say the same about them. That's not really bias, it's my own evaluation.
I even talk about the dancers occasionally, although the bouncers are the ones sal and taos are in love with. The bouncers at 4play have always been decent to me, maybe I don't look like a cheap asshole.

I must say that I can't comment about the dances at many clubs I've been to, simply because I didn't find any girl there I wanted to get up close with. That includes many of Sal's favorites- sloppy 10ths may be what he likes, but that's not my interest. 4play definately isn't a coi club, but the girls can get very sensual if you aren't an ass. I have encountered a few hard sell girls there who didn't really deliver, but they look so damn good they're hard to resist. Of course, I've found those types at the other clubs, but its way easier to turn them down because they smell or are like 50, or have 30 extra pounds.
Don't take sal's word about the club; don't tkae mine either. Check it out for yourself. Even without a pass, its like 10-15 to get in, a $7 drink, and anything beyond is up to you. The tryouts/amateur stuff on tuesday nights can be kinda fun, and if you tip about $20/hour, the girls will be more likely to pay attention to you. Of course, that'll be true anywhere.

Bare Elegance LAX: They used to keep good looking girls, but not any more, so so looking and play tooooo loud music after ownership changed.
Silver Reign: Not worth to visit. Too pushy and because of that most customers run so they can't keep good looking girl working there, it's a downward spiral.
Ecstacy: Still the best in town. Kind of expensive but the girls are friendly, no pushy sales, no loud music! I always end up spend all I have there :-(

Winter is one of my fave girls to hang out with at 4P. She gives a great grind as I have said earlier. But, as with most 4P gals, the mileage is quite limited, so if you needs to be getting yo socks knocked off...not the best club overall. But if you want to hang with a funny, intelligent, gorgeous and sexy girl who will grind to satisfaction...well...then Winter can be a great season.
And to answer an earlier question...not sure of what you're trying to ask re: PL Pros...something about dress code? 4P doesn't have one. That said, 4P is a place where the girls can sometimes afford to be picky and I've always witnessed and experienced that wearing jeans or pants gets a lot more attention than wearing sweats. Is that what you meant?

As I procrastinate from doing that which I should be, I realize that I think you may be on to something...I am overly defensive about this club. Don't know why other than that I spend a ton of time there and really enjoy a lot of the people who work/dance there. I guess in some ways I consider it a family of choice like you might feel about your local watering hole.
So I guess you have to take a lot of what I say with a whole lot of salt, much in the same way TH expends so much energy dissing the place. Guess I'm his counterpoint and the reader's truth/experience will lie somewhere in the middle.
That said, I HAVE criticized aspects of the place more than a little bit in the past and sometimes extensively. Plus, if I say a gal is a good dance...I mean it.
But you're quite right...overly defensive. I'll endeavor to be more "balanced and accurate" in the future.
That said...Erika IS black and she DOES rock!

Erika and Casey are personal faves. Sorry, I just don't think you'll find hotter women of color in the city than those two.
As for latina, whole different discussion and a long one at that - to make a long story short: Peaches by day, Daisy by night. Both Mexicana, both ridonculous bodies.

This club is mostly white girls; not even many latinas. I know of at least 3 black ones; one goes by Ariel, and has been there for a while, but I can't recall the other names. You're not even comped your first drink after you pay entry? and it's not even like the drinks are oversized so that $7 soda won't last very long and it's only $7 if you don't tip, otherwise it becomes... an $8 soda... then the girls start telling you how shitty the $25 dances are and that at minimum, you need to go to that room where you buy 3 at a time so now you're in for $82 for a drink and 3 dances BEFORE tips not even counting the entry fee, whatever that was, I think it was $15? so... really, $97 for entry, a drink and 3 lapdances BEFORE TIPPING. No wonder the place was half empty. There were some hot girls here, there was a blonde that was outstanding but... God Dayum! I looked at my friend and said, "we should have gone to Deja Vu"...
Let's do the math for Deja Vu. $10 entry with "free" pass, free drinks, 3 dances = $60, so $70 before tips vs. $97 for 4Play. Uh... hello? and going forward, it's worse, $25/dance vs $20/dance... Guess it was half empty because they were waiting for the trust fund babies and drunken pro athletes to show up, right?

...is a listing of who is SCHEDULED to be on. But on average I'd say 3-4 girls call in or are no-shows and maybe 1-2 girls are added. If you hear a name and you def want to see her, hit 0 after the recording and ask the receptionist who "called off". I do it all the time...I've saved myself some drive time with this practice.
Also I noticed that the Plan B website has started to list a nightly RC. I think they are planning on having the 4play website do the same thing. That would be easiest...set a home screen bookmark for that page and boom, no need to make the call.

Been awhile since I've posted, but I still read the board now and again, I still go to 4P quite a lot and Taos asked a valid question which I thought I'd answer, which is why don't people review on this board? There are two answers to that question and both are very specific to the zBone experience.
A) Really what's the point of writing a review? Anytime anyone says something positive it is shut down immediately by...well...you know. Good or mediocre, the reaction is the same - that you must be an idiot for liking the place "cause we don't". Taos and others have successfully made this board useless, unless you like to read flame wars, which is not, I believe, the purpose of zBone. But fine, whatever. (And Taos, I am not interested in a flame war, btw, I'm just answering your question)
B) AND MORE TO THE POINT - the purpose of zBone (and it's a good one) is to find out where the most bang for the buck can be had at a club, which girls KYSO, who is really hot, who is really fun, etc. It is also a place to decide if it's worth the money that any particular club charges. Unfortunately, this line of discussion is an issue at 4P, because 4P's management tries fairly hard to keep it a clean club. I wish they didn't, but they do and as a result MANY of the girls are extremely clean and offer no more than a good grind. Many of these girls are also really beautiful. Some are not and some don't grind so well. OTOH, several girls DO offer higher mileage. Many of THESE girls are also really beautiful. And some are not. But to say WHICH girls will KYSO on this board is a death sentence for their careers, because management is strict and reads this board. That said, only one security guard is overzealous, the rest are appropriately present, in my opinion, and generally stay out of the way.
Now, prices here are high. Unreasonably so, I agree. And some of the girls work the tip angle to death, agreed. But some don't. But the songs ARE 3.5 minutes minimum, and as I've said a gazillion times on this board (and been shot down every time), if you take the time to develop a nice rapport with a girl and tip appropriately (not insanely), your mileage may (probably) will get higher. It ain't DVNH or Body Shop where you can go once and get help with the squirt (which on the right night is a very good thing), but it's not a bad place to go, have decent conversation with the right girl (more than likely hot as hell), have a good meal and maybe get off. That's it. I never claimed it was more than that.
Finally, ignore this board as a review site for 4P. It is strictly a place for those who hate the place to tell you so in as many ways as possible. If you want reasonable reviews go to TUSCL.net. There you have good reviews, or bad, and no conversation...just plain old reviews.
Okay...have at it...rip me apart. I'll be at 4P watching the Bruins kick the Cafucks ass, eating a burger and getting off in between periods.

Although silver reign similarly irritated me a couple years back, it's not exactly objective to say that the club sucks now right after saying you haven't been there in 5 years. You're just that old lady bitching about ancient history. Of course, the fact that the silver reign/skin dickholes threatened legal action against zbone speaks volumes.
4play, in my opinion doesn't deserve to be tossed in with those other clubs. I go to 4play regularly and have a fine time of it. I've toured several of the city's other entertainment venues, admittedly not as many as the douchebag posse, and 4play is definitely not like the others, and in a good way (again, IMHO).
I know you're either going to call me a shill or a dancer (make up your mind which already), but I leave the determination as an exercise for the reader.

Silver Reign is ONE OF THE WORST Clip Joints out there and wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemies.
First off, The annoying BUY THE LADY A DRINK is PUSH so DAMn HARD of any club I've ever been to. Sure you can say NO, but within a minute another dancer sits down next to you and here comes the waitress BADGERING you to buy the lady a drink. IT NEVER STOPS, That is why I never go there anymore as you can't chill or relax.
THe Lap dances are $40 NUDES!!! That would be ok if the songs were long & uncut, But they are not and they cut them really short (mostly under 2 minutes) each song. NO 2 FOR 1 discount SPECIALS like at the other clubs as this Silver Reign IS WAY TOO GREEDY for the customers to even give a person any Specials.
And to TOP it OFF, They don't have any TOPLESS DANCES like most other clubs have. Sure maybe during the day they have topless, But most working stiffs like myself work during the daytime. So anyone who shows up to Silver Reign at night as NO Specials(No 2 for 1's) and short CLIP SONGS it's no bargain THAT IS WHY I HAVEN'T BEEN BACK IN 5 YEARS!!!!
It was the Management from Silver Reign & Skin(run by same owners) that told Zbone to removed them from discussing them on this site or face legal action. So that is what he did & had them removed from any guy posting about them.
Silver Reign & SKIN don't like getting Exposed for the SCUM that they are for RIPPING-OFF customers not knowing what to expect before they enter their doors. So they don't want people to know the real deal of whats going on.
Also the half hour VIP dances at those two clubs get this is $625 for 30 minutes. Yeah you thought Spearmint Rhino-Industry was bad at $500 for 30 minutes, But Those two clubs(Silver Reign & SKIN) take the cake in OVERPRICING THE CUSTOMERS TO NO END!!!!
AVOID SILVER REIGN!!!!
AVOID SKIN SHOWGIRLS!!!!
If they can't see it to allow customers to post on a forum discussing their own strip clubs, You know THEY KNOW they are ripping-off the customers its just a shame some guys are not aware and will get burned once they enter those 2 Bull-Sh*t of clubs.

Then later on that nite they're having the famous DTLA Art Walk on 4th & Spring. actually, Silver Reign was completely remodeled a couple months ago. it is much nicer now and is managed by the same person who managed 4play when it first opened. as far as buying a girl a drink all you have to do is say "no" pretty simple. The club still brings it the same quality of customers as 4play since it is in the same area. Ive also seen more than 2 or 3 girls that haved worked (or still work) at 4play at this club as well. the reason there is no silver reign reviews is cus it was causing too much unnecessary drama at the club. Seems pretty smart to me.

Silver Reign club reviews are not available because the Silver Reign lawyers demanded that Z Bone stop posting any reviews. There were a lot of negative reviews regarding the $40 dance prices and sub-two-minute song lengths. The "buy a lady a drink" hustle at $20 a pop was also a turn-off. I will say that mileage was great when I visited a couple of years ago, but the dance prices vacuumed my wallet.
