This is my first return visit to this club since they moved
many years ago. The new location is also in a strip mall but much bigger. As
you enter, there is an adult bookstore section and the men's bathroom.
I saw a couple looking at items in this part of the building. The cashier
for the store is also the cashier for the strip club section. The cover is
$10 (waved with Z-VIP card) and $10 more for unlimited drinks ($5 during the
day). There is a sign before you enter the strip club section that lists all
the girls working on the shift which is a nice touch that other clubs should
adopt.
As you enter the strip club section, I noticed sort of a
Caesar's Palace type decor happening. I don't know if that was intentional
or not. From the entrance, the bar is to the left, and past the bar is the
DJ/dressing room and the large stage against the wall. The stage has a large
back section which I am told used to have water dripping down but it's no
longer used. The smoke machine is on the bottom of this "fountain" and
creates an interesting way for the smoke to appear onto the stage. The
stage has one pole and is lit by tons of "real" stage lighting that go all
around the stage. So unlike some other clubs, you can see what you want to
see on stage and it's more than big enough for any dancer to do a great set.
There is a VIP room on the right side and on the far side up some stairs is
the lap dance area. The large room is filled with chairs and tables
and a few standing tables if you want to stand. It looked like mostly
dancers use these tables.
As with most clubs where the drinks are unlimited, don't expect the waitress
to bring you too many drinks. However, if any dancer sits down, you'll
get the usual "buy the lady a drink?" question. I got my drink
directly from the cute bartender. Right below the lap dance area are several
couches that you can sit and talk to the dancers. Some dancers will
sit on your lap and talk if you buy them a drink, for those interested in
chatting.
Interestingly, when they did the promotions where all the dancers would go
on stage, the DJ would come out of the booth with a wireless microphone and
walk to the stage and point out dancers almost like a barker. I've
seen this at Deja Vu (North Hollywood) and can get the audience going. The
DJ would talk to the dancers on the stage over the microphone and there
seemed to be a very relaxed situation with the DJ. This relaxed feeling
seemed to go along with their treatment of the dancers as well.
The lap dances are $20 for topless, $40 for nude and one girl told me $300
for 20 minutes in the special VIP area. I didn't see anybody doing
those. As far as I could tell, they were not promoting or doing any
$20 dances. All the dances were $40 nude dances, with the usual
8-for-1 promotions which turn out to be about the same or even less than one
normal dances. However, the songs were longer than the Rhino songs, at
about 3 minutes or so. The lap dance area has couches that are separated by
dividers. On a Saturday night, there was heavy promotion with a lot of free
video giveaways.
There were a mixture of different types of dancers, from inexperienced to
seasoned professionals. This is not the club to come to for eye candy,
but it's also not a complete lap factory. I noticed many dancers chatting
with regulars and generally had a more relaxed feeling than some other nude
clubs. The dancers I talked to seemed to like working here. If you want to
see a sexy stage performance, check out Sasha, or for more punch, see Paige
on stage. If you like cute exotic looking girls, check out Leilani.
